Guys, sorry if that’s common knowledge or something. I have an MPC and a West Pest with me, and I wanted to know if it’s possible to send Midi info through the cv outputs of the MPC to the West Pest Pitch In. If that’s not possible, what can I do with CV? I’m asking cause the only thing I know about is clock. Is the best option just to simply get a Midi to 1/8” cable?
Little bit out of topic, but where can I learn about the type of stuff that I just asked? Not mpc/west pest related necessarily, just routing and using hardware with other hardware. Thanks.
hey guys, how are you all doing? so, i got introduced to beat making and have been making beats in fl studio for about 2-3 months. and now i really want to get a mpc one plus. so, what things do i need to use it; can i connect it to a bluetooth/ cable speaker? what other cables should i get? Thanks
Is there an alternative way to browse your splice samples? Atm the only way I can see is by the company that made the sample pack name which is kinda long if I’m trying to find a ride one shot or something.
I wonder how many bars do you put in one sequence? Is that easier to put only 1 sequence and for whole beatz other than having more sequences?
How is did was 1 sequence (1 intro -4 bars) 1 sequence (hook - 4 bars) 1 sequence (verse -4 bars)
And i go to song mode arranged to whole beat for the song
Ps: how to layout audio samples in sequences
I see something use audio inside midi arrangement I couldn’t figure out? Because I put audio in pad and recorded. It only gives me midi note.
Did anyone try Serato studios stem separation with mpc one? Are the sam different? I been using serato for almost 2 years now and some acapellas are good and some are unuseable. It also takes time to stem the track on i7 processor with 16gb of ram
If u flatten a pad does it get the simultaneous pads to? I have a kick simo playing an 808 that I’ve changed the envelope on. I feel like it’s not on the flattened pad. Should I just flatten the 808 pad then add the kick sample to that? Should I just record it without effects n use that sample?
I have a drone and another 4K camera that it’s important but I’m guessing mpc isn’t capable n I’d be wasting my money. Your thoughts?
Anyone know of or interested in giving lessons over zoom reguarding mpc workflow? My issues are as follows: chopping samples, creating templates, computer software and Ableton integration. Let me know y’all.
How can I switch between the available PAD banks (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H) using one button or knob? If not, this can be done using the PAD itself. ALL my attempts haver not worked. Software: MPC BEATS
Hi hi,
I know people have mentioned that their MPC doesn't eject properly when exiting controller mode. I have had that issue as well and decided it was ok to just unplug the USB, despite PC saying, "can't eject device". Doing that ruined my MPC One software in standalone mode. It glitched, and wouldn't play, pads were triggering other things, etc... I did a fresh install and all was good.
I still had to figure out the ejection situation.
Solution: Shut down the computer and then unplug.
Or, restart computer and make sure that your MPC has the "standalone" button on screen. Then in-between the PC shutting down and restarting, press standalone. Doing this for months now and no software issues.
Hope this helps someone out.
First, my apologies that some version of this question gets asked all the time.
My SP-404 has not been getting used at all since I picked up a used One. I instantly clicked with it and I’m working through the MPC Bible now. Considering trading both for the Live II, which seems like the best aspects of both because of the portability.
Do you think this is a good move? Is there an aspect of this workflow I’d be missing out on or should I rethink the way I’m using them together? Would standalone plugins like Flex Beat and Flavor Pro make me not miss the SP at all?
Edit: Thanks everyone for helping me alleviate my GAS! All great points here.
