Ainori

This is coming from someone who has watched all seasons of Terrace house, at least 5+ times. If anyone wants to get their Terrace House fix, they should look into Ainori. Personally my favorite season of Terrace House was the first one because it felt so authentic. The more seasons that went by, the more it felt like the show was just a way for people to launch/promote their business.

I like Ainori because it shows lots of great genuine human moments between the cast. It seemed like they actually cared about each other. The best part of Ainori for me is not the dating/romance but the raw, genuine human interactions.

I will say the production quality is MUCH lower on Ainori compared to Terrace House (it kind of has to be considering all the travelling they're doing). One thing you really got to give to Terrace House is that they have amazing production quality and the shots are beautiful, especially in the later seasons.

If you want a more dating-oriented show, I also liked Shuffle Island. It does feel a little fake at times as well but you have less of the constant brand-promotion going on that you see in Terrace House.

Please don't hate me, I love Terrace House lol. I'm actually watching it again from the start because I've watched too much Ainori recently

Heart Signal is like the Korean version of Terrace House, but focused more on dating. This 4th season of the Korean version is highly anticipated as it's been 3 years since the 3rd season (oh and there was the Heart Signal spinoff called Friends in early 2021). Some people consider the 2nd season of Heart Signal (Korean Version) to be one of the best dating shows ever.

There's also the Chinese version of Heart Signal (心动的信号), a lot of people like it (some prefer certain seasons/pairings/etc. over other Korean/Japanese/etc. dating shows), especially Season 2 and the recently completed Season 5. They're preparing for Season 6 now.

For Heart Signal, the original Korean version and some seasons of the Chinese version should be on Viki. For the first season of the Korean version, it's on OnDemandKorea.

With the Chinese version of Heart Signal, it's available on the WeTV/Tencent Video website (has English subs), and also their WeTV/Tencent Video channels on Youtube for free but without proper English subs.

Through the Tencent Video Youtube channel you'll have to use auto-translate from Chinese/Mandarin or maybe say Thai, Vietnamese, etc. So for English subs you have to check their own WeTV/Tencent Video/etc. website.

A show that's actually more like Ainori Love Wagon is Twinkle Love (怦然心动20岁).

For Twinkle Love (怦然心动20岁) Season 3, you know Shen Yue from Meteor Garden, A Love So Beautiful, et cetera? She's one of the panelists for Twinkle Love Season 3 now, there's pictures of it on Weibo, check iheartu2's Twitter and so on. Jam Hsiao is also returning (prepare for his crying, haha, he gets so invested and emotional just like us viewers). Season 3 of Twinkle Love might release maybe around this summer or later this 2023.

Twinkle Love is the best youth/etc. show, it's like a way chill version of Ainori: Love Wagon, but for Chinese university students. Sometimes the Twinkle Love panelists (and everyone) have really hilarious reactions/situations too, lmao.

The YOUKU dating shows like Twinkle Love (怦然心动20岁) often have bonus content, like versions of the episodes without the panelists, actual unreleased scenes, livestreams with the housemates watching the episodes together, et cetera.

I watched asia s1 & 2 then affrica but they mentioned about older seasons on the show and i believe the show runs since 1999 in jap tv is there anywhere i can find older seasons to watch at least eng sub preffered

Soooo happy for them! 😍💗 They were my favourite couple of Japanese reality tv up to now (besides Seina and Noah from Terrace House who are also going strong).

Now that the Love Village has completed its first season, it might be another year or so for another season or for Ainori Love Wagon's return.

Hi there! i’ve been quite curious about where most of you are from. To start, I was born and raised and Singapore and am still living here. Unfortunately none of my friends have even heard of this show, and quite a lot of them are Netflix subscribers. i’ve therefore concluded that this is quite a niche programme and thought it’d be interesting to know where the viewers are from (aside from Japan of course).

I'm searching for older episodes of the Fuji Television variety show "Ainori". I'm looking for episodes from the original run (aired from October 1999 to March 2009). The youtube channel I was watching from made all their videos private, and I don't remember the user name to ask permission to watch.

I’m nearly at the end of S2 and I think the format needs some work. It’s an enjoyable show but there are some major issues.

1. Consider having a 2 stage way that people exit. First an initial confession but if a couple forms they get to stay until the group leaves that country, then they leave together. This way you won’t get the strange timing of the confessions and we get to see how they are as a couple. If they split up between the confession and them leaving they still have to leave - that means they take it seriously.

2. Show more of the group’s social time including platonic friendships. Some of the most fun scenes are the very brief clips in the opening credits - even a minute or two of that would give a better sense of the journey and enable us to see how they behave as a group.

3. Change the panel again. It’s just not working. I don’t know what to suggest, but anything would be better. Get the same mix as the Terrace House panel - more men but some who will actually be amusing.

4. Avoid what happened in season 2 where one person dominated. If you’re going to have a Depparin make sure that someone in the group has the strength to stand up - AI did well but he left.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I searched for it and couldn't find it. The links on d-addicts seem to be dead too, so I decided to search for it in korean and ended up finding it.

It starts from episode 50, the quality isn't great and some episodes have korean subtitles but it's good enough for me so I decided to share if anyone is interested.

I adore TH. I have a tattoo of "-coward?" (because I have like 70 other tattoos and fuck it.) I even loved Taishi State, even though I hate Taishi.

I tried Ainori and I couldn't even get past the first 15 minutes. I just really can't deal with the production values. All the colors are blown out and the brightness is too high. Can't deal with the floating Japanese-game-show overlayed text. Can't deal with the high energy.

I love TH because it's quiet, understated, and really feels like a slice of life (despite having read Lauren's tell-all.)

So, should I just try to power through? Does Ainori ever chill the fuck out? Am I just broken?
