I'll start:

Pros:

• Gives players more freedom to play how they want to play

• Allows a way to mitigate hard counters without needing to switch heroes

• Adds strategic depth to the game

Cons:

• Current format has no way of knowing other players' passives, making interactions unpredictable

• Some heroes benefit more from certain passives than others

• Reduces the overall elegant simplicity of the game, making players have to learn even more possible hero interactions

• Could lead to a "solved meta", where the best passives for each hero are widely known by the community

Conclusion:

• The idea has potential to become a permanent addition, but needs more polish

• There should be an icon indicating the picked passives for all players in the scoreboard or next to their healthbar (or both)

• The tank role needs this feature more than other roles, since they are the ones mostly being countered

• Hero-specific passives (maybe only for tanks), could be more interesting than role-wide passives
