My son got a switch for Christmas and now he’s asking for Animal Crossing. I asked him if he can be more specific and he can’t. He’s 14. His current favourite game seems to be RDR2.
I searched for Animal Crossing and found what looks like an entire genre of games. I can’t tell which are more comprehensive or larger or even which are add ons that require the main game. They don’t make this easy.
What do you recommend? I don’t know what, if any, online features he’s likely to want to use.

I'm only asking this because I realize how different me and my friend both are. She only plays with occult Sims. She played with the same household for over a year, and she plays with aging on the short lifespan. Compared to me, I mainly only play with young adult Sims/teens. Every time I open my game, i'm in a different household, so I rotate between at least five households and my aging is off. I also have no occult packs installed, and my favorite packs are growing together, city living and get together vs hers are all the occult game packs.

I just started a new game. I plan to play it for many generations. The idea is similar to a legacy but without rules because I always forget them lol. Anyway, I started with a runaway teen girl. She got pregnant, which wasn't in my plans, but I went with it. She raised her son alone as his dad didn't want him.
Her son aged up to a kid and got the evil trait (I always randomize traits and aspirations). I thought, well okay, sometimes evil sims can be fun. I'd even thought about having him do something horrible to his half brother (the son his father wanted) as an adult.
Then when he aged up to a teen, he rolled the Friend of the Animals aspiration. He needed to have a pet, so his doting mom (now an adult working a low paying culinary job) got him two adorable husky puppies.
Every time I click on the pups all he wants to is scold them or yell at them. I don't mind playing an evil sim...even an abusive sim who gets into fights. As I said, I'd thought of having him off his brother when they are adults. But animals abuse is a bridge too far for me..
I don't like this sim. I can't think of a single story line to go with. He's his mother's only child atm, so he would be the start of my next gen. I was trying to think of how to move forward with him and I've got nothing.
SO, should I kill him and have her, in her grief, have another child?
Any ideas on a story line or redemption arc? I'd be good with any of it, but I am just stuck at the moment.
So help a fellow simmer out? What will be his fate?
