“Bridgerton” surged in viewership in June to become the most-watched show across any single month for the entire year, earning 9.3 billion viewing minutes in June to help push up Netflix use and claim the most-watched title across all of streaming for the second month in a row.

The 9.3 million minutes fans spent watching “Bridgerton” in June was more than they spent watching any other most-streamed monthly title so far this year, with “Your Honor” in second place.

“Bridgerton” released the first four episodes of its third season in May and was also the most-watched streaming title of that month, but with only 5.5 billion viewing minutes.

With two of the most-streamed shows available on Netflix, the streamer increased its share of TV usage to 8.4%, up from 7.6% in May.

SSeason 3 is now the 6th Most Popular Netflix TV show of ALL TIME!!!

After certain fans were yelling for two years that "Season 3 will be the downfall of Bridgerton", "Polin is boring, nobody cares and no one will be watching", "Season 3 will flop", "Going to p!rate the season so as to not give them views" well I am here to deliver good news. The sabotage mission failed. Dismally.

People lie, numbers don't. Here's a huge piece of humble pie. Polin is not the least popular ship.

Highest rated season by the audience and critics. Over 9 billion viewing minutes. for the past two months. Biggest debut weekend in series history 45 million views. And and and and..

Nicola is loved. Luke is loved.

I'm a Blair Waldorf stan but she brought losing Yale on herself

I'm a Blair stan, indifferent to Serena, and Rachel Carr hater but Blair absolutely brought losing Yale on herself. She had that school within her grasp multiple times in Season 2 but continued to screw it over for petty reasons.

  1. Serena never 'took' Yale from Blair. Serena tried to be the bigger person after their fight and wishes Blair luck going to Yale, but Blair had to be a brat who insulted Serena's intelligence and academic ambitions. Serena went over to Yale and clearly presented herself well to make a good impression -- yeah academics, extracurriculars, etc matter for college/jobs but a lot of people overlook how important it is to present yourself too. Blair made a horrible first impression during her interview and even during that special dinner with the Dean. Serena liked Yale and decided to apply, as anyone should get to do for any college out there. It's true that Blair would've likely been the Constance student to receive early admission from the get-go before Serena applied too (seeing as Nelly only got accepted after Blair got rejected), and that could've been the case if she wasn't being an ass to Serena.

  2. Serena gets in early decision and Blair gets waitlisted. The headmistress assures Blair she'll get in at some point. But after Serena turns them down (and tells Blair not to go after Rachel), Blair gets in! Great, she has everything she wants. Then she decides to be extremely petty to get back at Ms Carr (who I hate with a passion, believe me) even though the stress of getting into Yale is no longer a concern.

  3. Blair gets detention. Even though I felt it was really overkill for Ms Carr to tattle to the headmistress after Blair was clearly remorseful/tried to make amends, the headmistress has assured Blair that if she keeps her GPA up to its usual standards and if she completes detention to her satisfaction that Yale will still be possible. The fact that the headmistress never told Yale about the reason Blair got detention shows that she was still trying her best to make Yale possible for Blair. Okay great, so Blair still has a shot at her dream school. But again, she has to be a petty brat who gets her shot at revenge. Even her own minions are telling her she's taking it too far. She makes up what she knows to be a lie about Ms Carr having an affair with Dan, and it' like Harold said, she got lucky that it ended up being true that Ms Carr was pushing boundaries of interpersonal relationships with her students. Even Nelly told her that she was taking it too far but wasn't listening to anyone even though she got what she wanted.

  4. Blair loses Yale. Now here, Ms Carr is a grown ass adult trying to maliciously screw over a high schooler's future - so you obviously can't make excuses for her behaviour, including the fact she, you know, slept with Dan. But if you read points 1-3 in this post, Blair had many opportunities to stop being vindictive and just look at the bigger picture of having Yale but she didn't. If she just gave it a rest once before, she would've never gotten to this point.

Observations/Realisations from E1 & 2

I'm not ready to stop watching S3 yet because somehow Colin gets hotter with each rewatch. So here are some minute observations, which I hope aren't already caught on the sub!

Episode 1:

  1. Maybe Lady Danbury had a hunch about Pen being LW because in the first episode, she diverts the queen's attention from her, not in an attempt to underestimate her ability as a possible diamond, but because if the queen pays too much attention to her, she can get caught. Pen operates well due to her ill fated invisibility.

  2. What a bitch Ms Livingston is. Cressida doesn't hold a candle to her.

  3. During the ball, when Pen talks to Fran, she realises that she doesn't like attracting notice. In all the Whistledown issues henceforth, Pen doesn't emphasize too much on Francesca even though she's the diamond of the season, which is how the queen assumes her to be in a weak position.

Episode 2:

  1. In the market scene, the irony of Colin talking about living in the estimation of others is a trap, and that's exactly what he's doing. Also, Colin's advice is what Penelope is doing by being LW, she is escaping the estimation of herself to embrace her talents and passion. Colin preaching to the choir while ignoring his own preachings.

  2. Also in the garden scene, Pen gives Rae a look when Colin asks why she isn't friends with Eloise anymore, and Rae gives her a knowing look. So Rae probably knows about her being LW and probably helps her with her escapades. They certainly have an understanding when it comes to doing things deemed improper by the society.

  3. Pen tries to comfort Lord Basilio while talking to him by reaching for his hand and Colin is straight up shook in that moment 😂 cue Classical Jealous

  4. Maybe this is an obvious one, but Lady Danbury orchestrated the queen's run-in with Franny playing the piano. She knows the queen's appreciation for talented musicians and purposely takes Francesca off the ballroom and into the piano room, and then takes the queen to a see a painting in the same direction

  5. The camera tilts when Penelope is nervous. It happens post proposal and it happens when she hears people whisper about her and Colin.

  6. The scene of Pen writing a LW issue in Ep 2 is shot at the same time as the opening scene of Ep 5. Same outfit, same candle length, same lighting.

  7. Penelope's room's furniture is rearranged somewhere in episode 2. It opens with a table facing the door (which is insane given she writes LW on that table) and the mirror opposite to the door. By the end, in the window scene, the mirror is next to the door and the table is moved next to the opposite end of the door (a much better, discreet position. Pen is just like us. She rearranges furniture when depressed.

  8. Colin is already looking at Penelope's lips very intently before she asks him to kiss her. If you've read the book, something similar happens where's he's thinking about kissing her and she says it out loud.

Just noticed a parallel about love

In episode 4, Penelope asks Lord Debling if he believes love would grow with time, and he responds saying that his work takes up most of his heart and he's not sure there's more space.

Then in episode 7, Benedict and Eloise are chatting about which sibling Eloise likes best and Benedict says "love is not finite, Eloise"

Apologies if this had already been posted/discussed prior!
