I guess the controller advantage has to do with being able to quickly change steering imputs, whereas it takes time to actually turn the steering wheel. But then I read that dirt rally 2.0 for instance is better with wheel. Why might that be?
I want a racing game on the deck that’s good, but a bit cheap.
Send me your recommendations.

I’m not really big on racing games, partially because I suck at them and secondly because I find races frantic, not really relaxing. I’ve enjoyed the Burnout series a lot and I’ll play other racing games here and there but at the end of the day, I’m not a huge fan of racing games as a category. However, I love games with beautiful, relaxing scenery.
As an example, Far Cry 5 has an ok game but lovely, relaxing scenery and combined with exciting weapons, it got bumped up in my books to a great ‘relaxing and exciting at the same time’ game (kinda like going into the outdoors to shoot some guns).
With this in mind, does it make sense for me to buy FH4 just so I can drive a Porsche 911 turbo around the British countryside? I know FH5 has significantly better car sounds, but the map doesn’t really attract me and it’s not a game I would buy.
Have you ever wanted to buy a game on Steam but didn't know if it was good? Have you ever had just enough money for an indie game but didn't know whether it was worth buying? Have you ever asked yourself, "Should I buy this game?"

The PlayStation 2 (PS2) is Sony's second game console. Released in 2000, it officially replaced the PlayStation 1 in Sony's lineup, offering backwards compatibility with the PS1.
Can anyone recommend some good racing games? I'm looking for ones with a quick race mode that lets me customize settings and vehicles for a few quick races. Bonus points if there are cheat codes to unlock everything. As a full time working dad, these kinds if games are the easiest for me to unwind with.

In the mood to play something different that I normally don't play. Any good recommendations for playing a racing game by myself? Something that would be good for a noob to the genre. Thanks
So, my favorite genre of games are racing games and I started to watch Kiri after seeing her play some racing games like Forza. I'm curious if there are others (especially those that speak English) that play racing games primarily. I've primarily watched Holo en or Nijisanji en and wanted to know about others

No disrespect to the original composers and devs, it just felt a bit gamey to me so I wanted to shift the vibe a bit. I really love the game aside from these minor things.
Most of the menu music is swapped with the DiRT Rally menu music. The exception is some of the menus in WRCG share the replay music, detailed below.
The replay music has been swapped with music from DiRT Rally, DiRT Rally 2, Forza Motorsport 4, GRID 1, GRID 2 and GRID Autosport.
If anyone wants to know, I made this using Fmod Bank Tools, did some tweaks to arrangement and mix in FL Studio.
Known Issues:
Currently the win/loss music are placeholders. I'm going to find others that I like more eventually but for now they'll suffice.
The transition music also needs a bit of work as far as timing.
Lastly, I guess the vibes could be a bit more consistent across the music but I really tried to get that down as much as I could. There are actually so many diff replay songs in WRCG that DiRT Rally 1/2s combined replay ost is only half of whats in this game.

Install Instructions: Rename the CMusic.bank file in WRC Generations - The FIA WRC Official Game\WIN32\Sounds to CMusic.bank.old or .bak (Keep it as a backup.). Then, put the CMusic.bank file you downloaded in that folder.
Mod Preview:
EDIT: Fixed the link, added instructions.
EDIT 2: If anyone is looking for more mods, there's the physics mod pinned at the top of the subreddit but I also found which links directly to some other mods. These include new cameras, tweaks to suspension damage as well as a mod to make damage more brutal.

So I'm a big fan of racing games, but the only one i own on the 360 is Burnout Paradise, which is great, but considering it's not very traditional racing, I'd like to get some recommendations. Ones I'm thinking about are: NFS Hot Pursuit or Rivals, Forza Horizon and one of the dirt games (I don't know which is the best). I'm open to knowing which one of those is better or getting new recommendations
