Growing digital audience

ACM has invested heavily in content to fuel our audiences insatiable appetite for sport. From AFL, to NRL, netball, basketball and everything in-between, our audience is passionate about sport. This investment has seen a 17% increase year on year in traffic to our sports content^.

I love reading about local sport. My wife and I have met a lot of locals through sport over the years, so it’s always fun to read through and see how many names we know are doing well.

Two of my sons played Soccer at a Local and State level so I have continued to follow stories about their teams. I also follow the AFL and Australian Cricket so read articles about these two Sports. My Local masthead provides a good coverage of my areas of interest.

Expanded sport content

ACM has partnered with Champion Data to provide live scores, ladders and match content for the national  AFL, NRL and A-League competitions. And more recently we have expanded this by partnering with Play HQ to deliver detailed updates on local Aussie rules footy including full fixtures, results, ladders, as well as game stats such as goal kickers and best on ground.

Play HQ is Australia’s leading provider of local sports data. Their stats now sit prominently on 50 of ACM’s regional digital subscription sites including The Canberra Times and The Examiner. 

I look at the sport section to find out what is happening in the sports I have a connection with and to find out which local people are achieving in a variety of sports. These are often good news stories.
