My problem with Anna’s Smartypants Presentation
false

Don’t get me wrong, Anna was correct on almost all her points, but my issue is that she completely forgot the biggest theatre kid leader in the world, Former high school drama teacher and current Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau. She also didn’t mention a single Canadian drama kid while listing the celebrities, which brings me to ponder a very important question-

Why does Anna Garcia hate Canada?

[Discussion] Which canceled Netflix series hurts the most?

[Discussion] Which canceled Netflix series hurts the most?

Anyone else sick of Netflix canceling every series that’s worth watching? One season and Netflix is done. Just when you’ve started to get into a series and fall in love with the characters, they cancel it. It’s so annoying, and frustrating, constantly trying to find something new to watch. Rant over. Thanks for listening.

The billboard worked: Michael Cera DID Call Katie

I chatted with Katie earlier today and guess what yall. Michael Cera saw THE billboard. You know the one. I got the scoop from Katie in my interview out with her now (don't worry, this story is literally in the first few minutes of the chat).

We also chatted about the importance of voicemails, LOSE MY NUMBER being the hot girl summer slogan, kissing Trapp and Zac (footage included), and so much more silliness. ENJOY, we had a blast making this and I hope you have a blast watching <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53MLOqzzHRQ

Are production kids also theater kids?

Are production kids also theater kids?
false

No we are not.

My credentials are that I took a full year of speech class, the only thing poorer than my schools debate team funding was me, so I couldn't join the team. I also took play production and was working on shows in the first semester of freshman year. I did eventually play a role in a play, but only because they gave me a sword.

As a techie, and we are/were techies, it was admissable for me to cross the cast crew divide because all techies love weapons.

Let me say that I felt incredibly seen by Sara in her reaction. She spoke for all of us and did not back down. Thank you Sara.

What makes a techie?

I mentioned that all techies love weapons, because all techies are ultimately destructive gremlins that would set the left over wood scraps on fire if given the slightest chance. Breaking leftover and or unusable particle board and lumber was always a popular day in my theater.

The glee one feels as a 14yr old being handed power tools with little to no oversight is hard to explain. The fact that it was also on campus property and sanctioned gives the techie a feeling of power in their little world.

Techies are also horny. And any theater kid could tell you that it always seemed like a different kind of horny than theater kids.

Yelling at other kids with authority. Because during rehearsal there is no time to be nice to dumb actors sitting on the prop furniture to talk at full volume about RENT while you are blindly pushing a three sided flat on wheels into the wings.

Techies prefer to be unnoticed. To be quiet and in charge while theater kids are obsessed with being the center of attention and responsible for nothing.

In short, techies and theater kids are not like oil and water, we may not mix but I can tell you what we are. Oil and a wick. Because the oil gets little credit for the flame everyone stares at.
