Anybody who honestly thinks Trump is a lesser evil than Biden is just a right winger. Full stop.

Anyone else think this is really bizarre? It took Tim Pool 2 days, and he finally decided to talk about it just a few hours ago as as well. In it's place, these guys talked about stuff like UFO's, the CIA promoting gay pride month, and the "wet market theory".

Perhaps I'm a conspiracy theorists now too but it seems like these guys are waiting for the proper narrative to come out before discussing this subject?

Like if this was Biden screwing up, no doubt all three of these guys would discuss the subject immediately. All three claim to be neutral, so I'm curious, what sort of excuse is there for silence on such a massive story?

I remember like 3 or 4 years ago David Pakman said that he had been offered many times substantial amounts of money to turn his channel into a “Democrat bad” channel, where all he would do is talk about how bad the democrats are. We have heard stories of certain leftists being offered deals to do this. The intent is to confiscate a once well known and loved leftist and split the left apart. Ever since the fall of Bernie in 2020, the left has been stalled. We are left leaderless and without momentum. Some creators I believe saw this opportunity to go where the wind was blowing: the right. All these supposed leftists who spend 100% of their time attacking and splitting the left and virtue signaling to the right have seen their views and subscribers increase substantially. Those that haven’t have not. Be aware of the grifters.

I'm glad they mentioned that culty asshat. My husband has listened to him since at least 2016 and the shift in his beliefs has been alarming. Let me provide some context here: he is not a a shitty white edgelord, he is a kind and supportive partner and father who has been involved in leftist activism for years and often at his own risk, takes care of friends and family better than anyone I know, and is pretty smart, too. He is a Black man who comes from a lineage of activists and Black Panthers, and has always been surrounded by LGBTQ+ family and friends. This makes his slow radicalization by Dore and friends even more heartbreaking. He went from a vague "both sides are bad except Bernie, the DNC is corrupt too" stance (which I can sort if understand, even if not to an extreme) to a white helmets theory believer who is growing worryingly close to sympathizing with Russia. He even gives Tucker Carlson the benefit of the doubt for supposedly being "anti-war" while not giving an inch in his detailed criticism of anyone remotely affiliated with the Democratic party. He was totally careful with covid at first and great about masking but slowly became completely against the vaccine, causing me so much stress and worry. The way Dore talks is so dangerous, anyone not totally for him is against him, and his entire being drips with smug misogyny, which my husband seems totally oblivious to because his annoying girlfriend gets to be on his show or whatever. I fear Dore has lofty political aspirations and wants some sort of authoritarian control. For years I struggled to find anyone else with these concerns but it seems to be slowly gathering momentum, like on the podcast I Don't Speak German. Sometimes the logical inconsistencies I see my husband have under this influence of these commentators seem almost like those seen in people with some amount of traumatic brain injury. I do not say this as an insult, it's just very much what it looks and sounds like. It's so scary and I don't know what to do about it. We can agree on something, like disliking US imperialism, but then for him it goes so far its scary. When I catch wind of Dore spreading fresh bullshit I have to firmly tell him what the real story is as a preemptive strike before he gets the latest wave of brainwashing, and even that doesn't always work. Again, I must stress that I love this man, and he is truly a kind, thoughtful person, but these nuts have gotten deep in his head and he needs to be deprogrammed somehow. There is so much more I could say because I've been so alone in this but I'm sorry for how long it is already.

I’m one of those people who thought Jimmy was being a little too hard on Bernie Sanders during his two runs; I was like, “for Christ sake Jimmy tone it down a little — this is our big chance!” Even though I’m Canadian I perceived Bernie as a potential game-changer. Jimmy knew better and I should have known better as well.

Along with Christian Parenti, Max Blumenthal and a few others, Jimmy is one of the few people on the left to call bullshit on the whole Covid-19 scam. While left-luminaries like Noam Chomsky and Naomi Klein were effectively calling for “unvaxxed” people to be put in camps, Jimmy called bullshit. He has bravely spoken out about the “vaccines.”

Jimmy largely rejects ID politics and encourages leftists to talk to and work with the “populist right,” ie their more conservative friends and neighbors, when appropriate. This is perhaps his most controversial position because the whole capitalist scam is to divide the working class into dueling tribes. Leftists need to be reminded that working class people, on average, do not embrace weird and abstruse and illogical theories about identity and gender; indeed “intersectionality” is promoted by the ruling class.

No Jimmy is not a saint. He’s frequently acerbic and gets into stupid (albeit entertaining) spats with other Youtube personalities. But that’s fine, spices things up.

P.S. No I’m not Jimmy’s PR guy, assuming he has such a person. I’m just an ordinary Canadian. I’m mostly pleased with Jimmy because he pushed back against the Covid-19 madness from a leftist POV.

Hey wonks. In light of the most recent episode I thought I'd share a little context about Jimmy and the broader "lefty-turned right wing" community from someone who has the insight of being a long time KPFK Los Angeles listener.

In the aftermath of the Sept 11 attacks and the Bush administration's rush to war with, well, everyone, the listenrship of KPFK and the broader Pacific network skyrocketed. This was a boon to the network which had, just a year before 9/11, seemed ready to implode due to infighting, lawsuits and financial mismanagement. But all mainstream media, including BBC, NYT and even NPR were staunchly pro-war to the point of hostility to any voices that dared question any facet of our GWOT, and Pacifica was the largest network in the country that would allow on voices of dissent.

The disdain for the Bush administration was rabid, and it was in this space that voices like dylan avery and alex jones saw opportunity. The documentary Loose Change started making appearances accross the network and INFOWARS stickers and shirts started showing up at anti-war demomnstrations. As the left's antiwar movement ground to a halt in service to trying to elect John Kerry, pacifica's listenershp started to dwindle and so did the totals on their pledge drives. Despite some of their strongest voices like Amy Goodman being very vocal in their challenges to the 9/11 "truth" community, the pledge drive premiums that still brought in the coin were largely the conspiritorial ones... Specifically 9/11 and Bush election fraud (Ohio 2004) content. Less popular but still a significant part of the pledge drives were more of the lefty "woo-woo" content... DVDs with motivational speakers unlocking people's inner... whatever, books on immuno-boosting, health magnets to align your poles, etc. (put a pin in this).

As Obama was elected Pacifica was in bad shape and it was at that time that Dore started appearing on KPFK's friday evening rush hour block as an hourlong "variety" show, landing the gig on a permanant basis in 2010. Center-left Dems had long abandoned the station and the remaining listeners were hungry for content that wouldn't let this new president off the hook for some of the very same policies and crimes that they marched against when W was in office. Dore was more than happy to provide said content and as someone wo lstened a lot back then I'll say some of it was on point and some seemed unfair... but it was rarely funny. In Dore's defense, most of the skits centered around republicans... things like "lindsey graham" calling in to the show and such (Dore had a pretty big cast from what i remember), but, again, it was rarely funny.

It was within this buble of alterna-health and conspiracy that Jimmy had a home before he launched his YouTube. Ths is where the current form of his show was gestated and it shows.

By my account Jimmy's big turn came during the Assad chemical attack in Syria that he and other prominant "progressives" of the time saw as staged... your taibbis, gabbards, kucinichs, etc. This was where we saw rightful critique of US foreign policy in some circle on the left morph into Russian propaganda at best and at worst apologia for a Syrian war criminal.

By the time 2016 rolled around I was rarely listening to KPFK as the conspiracy and woo world had largely taken over. Democracy Now! was easily obtained on demand, the Interept was doing amazing content and outlets like NPR were mostly doing pretty fair and in-depth coverage of the Trump administration so, I moved on. But I listened to Dore from time to time and I gotta say that I do remember him sticking up for Alex in 2018 and also remember thinking that, for a politicain so ripe for picking on, Jimmy didnt seem to be that interested in lampooning Trump. His show that had always mixed anti-globalization, anti-military industrial complex talking points in with things like gay rights and police reform seemed almost singularly focoused on the media and the Democratic Party establishment.

It is worth noting that, as unlistenable as KPFK is today, even they could'nt take the extent to which Covid broke Jimmys brain and the network finally parted ways with him in 2021, i believe the Boogaloo incident being the straw that broke the camel's back.

Last two bits of relevant info... Dore has a freindship with Rogan that goes back decades and is right with him on all things covid and was a vocal supporter for Joe during the ivermectin/cnn/spotify kerfuffle. Also, like many a lefty-turned righty, his journey is not without sexual assault allegations.

Sorry about the long post. I figured this may add a little to Jimmy's origin story and be of interest to some of you.

I see a lot of Jimmy Dore circlejerking in this sub. Sad.

But let's educate these imbeciles.

I know this sub hates jimmy for the most part but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt because I had watched him for so long and saw how he was a fighter for the progressive cause. Even when I started to notice him drift to the right a little I still gave him the benefit because I felt like he just had strong opinions about covid that didn't match with the left wing position, which many left wingers do.

But I'm officially done with him. When it comes to Roe v Wade and abortion a true progressive must stand for this. I'm watching Jimmy clearly walk a tightrope on this issue to avoid upsetting his right wing Audience. As far as I can tell he has not condemned the court for this decision nor has he come out in defense of women's right to abortion.

It's clear to me he has sold out. He is running a grift and collecting his reward by pretending to be lefty while actually espousing right wing positions.

I'm officially done. I unsubscribed from his YouTube channel and his premium channel. And please don't try to convince me how I'm wrong or misunderstanding things. I've seen everything I need to see and I no longer have trust in jimmy.
