Setlist for the 2024 tour? Setlist for the 2024 tour?

Wow! Toro Y Moi has a subreddit?? He's coming to Canada this year for one of his venues on tour, I want to go regardless (I've been a fan of his since My Touch back in 2009 and always wanted to hear him live) but the crux is this: my friend who is interested in possibly coming wants to know if Chaz released a setlist for this tour or even this particular show? It's the one in Vancouver on Aug 9th. I don't know if he's ever released setlists for his tours, so if this is a ridiculous question sorry;; If it isn't tho, does anyone know what the setlist is?

Rare question but hope you guys can help. Rare question but hope you guys can help.

Hello guys!

October 2022. Manchester.

I flew there and stayed in the city for 48h just to see his show in the city.

I was a bit lost because I decided to not to check the map to get to the place where he was about to play.

I decided to switch from The Smiths to some of his music while waiting for the traffic light to turn red for the cars when I found out Chaz was about to cross the street. I approached him and didn't ask for any picture bc I preffered to speak to him and say how much impact his music has in my life.

Here is the thing: There was a girl with him (blonde young girl) who was recording the scene, I didn't understand why but I did a quick research later at home and found out this girl was managing his IG while on the EU tour. The video or the pictures weren't uploaded to IG and I used to know the name of the girl, but I want to text her and I forgot her name to see if she still has some pictures / videos from the scene.

I would mean a lot for me if you guys help me to find the girl on IG.

Thank you so much for your collaboration, as always!

The intense heat wave going on reminds me of the underrated brilliance of Toro's Mahal song Foreplay The intense heat wave going on reminds me of the underrated brilliance of Toro's Mahal song Foreplay

Its not just the lyrics, that are hilarious and perfect. "Damn another fn heat wave, tell the ice cream man kill the noise, I cant see straight" lol. Its the way he sings things like he is in a delirious state from heat exhaustion. Even his guitar work feels like they are baking in the sun while improvising. The music, the production, lyrics, and execution encapsulates the feeling of an intense inescapable heat wave.

The whole experience makes you feel like you are walking on a road with sweat in your eyes, seeing mirages up the road, dreaming of a ice cold beverage. To have a song literally capture that feeling so vividly and painting an image and evoking a distinct feeling, is utter brilliance. Just the idea of capturing an experience, that is more or less universal, yet not often a subject tackled by artists. So original, and unfortunately, its going to be a feeling we will all be experiencing more often moving forward.

Stay cool out there, and cant wait for Hole Erth.

Dead Oceans Summary of Hole Erth Dead Oceans Summary of Hole Erth

"Hole Erth, Chaz Bear’s 8th full-length studio record as Toro y Moi, is the genre shapeshifter’s most unexpected and bold move to date, with Bear diving headlong into rap-rock, Soundcloud rap and Y2K emo. The album blitzes anthemic pop-punk next to autotuned, melancholic rap – two genres that inform one another now more than ever before — and packs in the most features ever on a Toro y Moi album. A sense of nostalgia sneaks its way into almost every Toro y Moi release, but angst is an emotion that Bear has never intentionally explored the way he does here. At a time when the internet is blending multiple genres into one at an increasingly rapid pace, Bear accomplishes the rare feat of keeping up with the contemporary alternative listener. Constantly changing, evolving and experimenting is the heart of Toro y Moi, and on Hole Erth Bear challenges but also reclaims himself, embracing the myriad sounds and eras that formed him, while crashing new worlds together." - Dead Oceans
