Budget: $300-$400

My husband's birthday is coming up and I need a good gift idea that can be ordered to/in India. Here are a few things about him:

  1. Loves star wars

  2. Loves Lord of the rings

  3. Loves football (big ManU fan)

  4. Loves eating good food

  5. Also works out everyday

  6. Is a metal head (metallica, lamb of god, tessaract, etc.)

  7. Adores reading novels, novellas, nonfiction and fiction

  8. Likes to drink good booze

These are all the basics. Of course there is more to him. Last year I got him a Fossils watch from the star wars collection, he was absolutely thrilled. Thank you for the advices in advance!!

Girlfriend (32) Birthday gift ideas • Girlfriend (32) Birthday gift ideas
$100-200

Need help with gift ideas for my girlfriend’s 32nd birthday. We’ve been together for about a year and a half and she’s so hard to buy gifts for.

About her: she’s a full-time content creator twitch streamer/youtuber, focusing on Nintendo games (Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Kirby, etc.). Her apartment (as well as her room at her mother’s house) is full of Nintendo related stuff that she’s collected over the last 20ish years, so she pretty much has everything she actually needs/wants related to that (plushies, collectibles, games, retro consoles, camera equipment, streaming equipment, etc.). She doesn’t wear jewellery and says it irritates her skin unless it’s gold (which is out of budget). She doesn’t wear makeup and takes super good care of her skin, so much that people are shocked when they find out she’s over the age of 23, so skincare is out of the equation. She’s been getting into fitness a little bit, but my previous gifts (listed below) were both somewhat related to health/fitness so I’m out of ideas. She loves music, and I thought maybe concert tickets would be a good idea, but concert ticket prices are through the roof in the city I live in, and her absolute favourite artists aren’t coming here anytime soon so I thought maybe not the best idea. There’s a music festival here in a month, so maybe that could be a nice idea but still incredibly expensive for two people so looking for alternatives.

For her birthday last year, after a few months of being together, I bought her a Hydroflask water bottle and some accessories, because she loves water (no seriously she really does love water). For Christmas, I got her the newest Fitbit on the market since I caught her looking at buying an older clearance one, as well as a hat for her favourite sports team. She absolutely loved both these gifts and use them every day.

I’m at a complete loss this year for gift ideas and would appreciate any ideas people can come up with. Preferably within the 100-200$ range. It doesn’t take much to make her happy and she never expects much of a gift, but I really wanted to get her something special and I think I might be overthinking it.

Appreciate anyone’s help!

Birthday present for aunt who took me in • Birthday present for aunt who took me in
$100-$150

A few months ago, my aunt (and uncle) and I recently reconnected, and then they took me in not long after due to some drama that happened, allowing me to stay local to my younger siblings and see them. Because of that, I want to get her a gift that she'll really appreciate and maybe use often. I'm willing to go over budget, but I need to stay approximately around this much.

She has a big kitchen and loves baking. She's said she needs more measuring cups, so I want to get her some of those (maybe personalized or in a fancier material), but that isn't really enough for a birthday, ya know? And maybe I'll make something she likes (we'll probably go out though) or the cake.

She likes watching TV and DVR, she has a lot of board games (plays various monopoly versions), loves floating in her pool on her floaties. Her favorite animal might be turtles? I don't think she really reads or collects things.

GF 29th Birthday • GF 29th Birthday
$300-$400

Hello,

My girlfriend is turning 29. I really have no idea what to get her or possibly do with her.

She likes plants, but has 1000 already and the conservatory is a normal haunt for us.

She likes Taylor Swift so I could potentially find some merch or something with clever lyrics she might like.. but that feels kinda meh. There's no way I can afford 5k for tickets to that and then another $500 to 1k for a hotel that night..

She does enjoy some Legos, but she likes the special sets they do and I've not heard her mention any new ones she would like. She has a couple star wars busts and the office obviously.

I'm really at a loss here. I do plan to take her to dinner and possibly a show that night if I can find something she might like in a reasonable distance. But I usually like to get her a big gift for her birthday and I am having a tough time here.

Pool Party Gift Ideas for Adults • Pool Party Gift Ideas for Adults
$50-$100

Hi! I'm going to be hosting a pool party for my bday this summer and looking for some fun and useful gift ideas to gift my friends. Any thoughts on what I should include in the gift bag? I was thinking sunscreen and a portable fan. Anything other ideas? Would snacks be fun to add in? My main goal is that the items are useful and not something they'd just throw away or never use again when they get home.

Please keep in mind this is adults only so no kid gifts. Thank you!

What should I get for my friend who is graduating vet school? • What should I get for my friend who is graduating vet school?
like $100 but can be flexible if absolutely necessary

I have a friend (more than friends but ya know) and he takes his boards on November 8. After that, he'll officially be a board-certified Veterinarian (I have full faith that he'll pass). But afterward, he still doesn't come home until April. Though there's a chance I might get to see him around Christmas, I want to get him a gift to congratulate him.

So I had two ideas I was playing with, we both have a dark sense of humor. I have this plush plague doctor and they recently came out with a plague doctor with a graduate cap, but that doesn't feel like enough on it's own. But he also LOVES Dr. Pepper. I'm trying to think of a way to make a play on words about how "Dr. Pepper may be cool but Dr. (his name) is cooler" without being too cheesy. He has proclaimed several times that he's going to be a "cool doctor" lol. He also loves ice cream, we have several ice cream bets going atm.

Any ideas?

Bracelet or Necklace with DNA Helix Charm • Bracelet or Necklace with DNA Helix Charm
$300-$600

My wife and I are celebrating our eighth anniversary in a month and our first anniversary since having a beautiful baby girl. We realized a few months ago that, with our baby, our three names make the initials DNA. We've had fun with that designation, jamming out to Kendrick and captioning pictures with it. I haven't gifted my wife jewelry in a while, so I thought jewelry with a DNA helix to celebrate our growing family would be perfect. Problem is I can't find something like this anywhere and I have little to no clue how to shop for quality jewelry. Are there people out there who make custom jewelry?

Budget: I'd feel best spending $300-400 but I'm willing to spend up to $600-700.

TIA!

Gift idea for someone watching my pets for free? • Gift idea for someone watching my pets for free?
$50

My partners aunt and uncle said yes to watching our dogs for a week while we leave town. I feel a bit bad because they weren't invited to the family beach vacation this year (there's some drama between them and grandma I guess) and my partner said she didn't sound thrilled in her texts. My partner can't go if we board as he can't afford his share of it this year so this was our only option and thankfully they've watched them before and didn't mind and our dogs loved it. I have a small budget and might be able to go over it, but I want to do something nice. Maybe a gift or an experience, like dinner for two or a charcuterie board or some home baked goods. I honestly don't really know what they like, other than wine, tv, homesteading, and traveling. I don't know anything about wine otherwise I might get them a nice bottle. What would be an appropriate gift?

What to get “preppy sister for her 11th birthday? • What to get “preppy sister for her 11th birthday?
$50

My sisters 11th birthday is coming up. She’s “preppy and loves pink, expensive makeup, and expensive skincare, and clothing brands like Lululeemon. My parents told me not to just get her a gift card. She despises reading and watching movies. She enjoys watching YouTube videos about makeup, but my mom isn’t the biggest fan of her makeup obsession because she puts on too much. She’s really picky about products, she wants trendy items only but a lot of them aren’t super appropriate for a girl her age. Any ideas?

Looking for gift ideas for my boyfriend's birthday • Looking for gift ideas for my boyfriend's birthday
100€

my boyfriend's birthday is coming up and i can't decide what to gift him.

He is an electronics engineer, mid twenties.

He barely has any free time so he barely has any hobbies but he does like buying broken down electronics gadgets for cheap online and repairing and reselling them. He also likes helping family and friends when their cars break down and is generally very good with hand work but i know way too little about those topics to gift him anything meaningful related to that. Also i believe he has everything he needs in his toolkit and if he didn't he would probably immediately get it for himself.

He does like some videogames such as GTA, CoD and CoC and i know he would love a graphic card but once again i cannot afford those. He also needs a new headset but i can't get him one for the same reason.

He is also vegetarian but is not necessarely super into cooking so a vegetarian cook book just seems lame.

He bikes everywhere despite owning a car.

Generally has a type B personality.

He has expressed in the past that he dislikes the idea of giftcards.

He couldn't care less what the gift costs and would probably prefer something DIYed (but i'm not very good at that) or just something cheesy & cute.

In his current living situation he doesn't have much place so i can't gift him any big appliances or anything that takes up too much place because his place is cramped and due to certain logistic that won't change for at least like two years.

I usually gift him clothes since he never buys those for himself but i think he has enough now and it has also become a bit boring and repetitive.

Gift wrapping/presentation for 16yo • Gift wrapping/presentation for 16yo
$30

I technically don't need help getting the gift -- I already have the items. What i'm trying to figure out is a fun way to give them. Some things we did in the past were a scavenger hunt, nested boxes, and one of those pop-up boxes that sends money/cards flying out. I'm just out of ideas for this year.

The gifts:

Yugioh game cards/packs

Card sleeves

Sunglasses

Pocket watch

Chocolate Bars

Any ideas how to give these small gifts? I'm not opposed to buying additional items or supplies.

Help me Reddit, you're my only hope.

Need help finding a birthday present for my friend who's turning 24! • Need help finding a birthday present for my friend who's turning 24!
$30-$60

A friend is turning 24 and is hosting a birthday party in about a week, and I'd like to get him something that's around $50

He is originally Lebanese and loves Lebanon, but he also grew up partly in Toronto and loves Canada as well. He now lives in the US. He also likes NASA and space-related things, as well as riding his bike (like 20+ mile trips)

A gift for a billionaire prince, he's coming to the UK and I have no idea what gift to get him • A gift for a billionaire prince, he's coming to the UK and I have no idea what gift to get him
£200 / $250

As the title says, I have a friend who is a Saudi Arabian prince, he's coming to my country for a few days later this month and I'd like to get him a gift, but I have no idea what to get him.

I'm thinking some history from Saudi Arabia, and considered something from the time of the Ottoman Empire, but I'm not too informed on the political differences between Saudi's and the fall of the empire.

I'd really appreciate any ideas, sub £200 ideally as it's more of a token than a huge welcome gift.

Thank you all so much

Meeting overseas family for the first time, gift ideas? • Meeting overseas family for the first time, gift ideas?
Budget of up to ~$500 USD

My grandfather emigrated from Croatia to the US in the 1920s, through the internet we've connected with some Croatian family and are visiting in September to attend a family reunion. Looking for some memento/keepsake gift idea for them. My initial thoughts was a framed photo of the farmhouse he raised his family in after emigrating? Open to some ideas that are sentimental, but not over the top.
