Alec Ogletree

[Leonard] So far we’ve had a Saquon “MVP” chant, a fan chew out Alec Ogletree for not staying with Barkley in a 1-on-1 drill, and some kids say “we want Daniel” after Eli’s first pass goes incomplete. Should be a fun year! #Giants

Thank you Alec Ogletree

Regardless of your thoughts on the trade, I think we can all agree that Tree brought a lot of passion and leadership and certainly helped the team through the transition from new city to new coach to new defense. He may no longer fit our scheme but he will be making bank on the Giants and they will have a strong leader as well as a good 4-3 linebacker. Thank you Tree, we all want to watch you succeed.

Danny Trevathan is expected to go on injured reserve, meaning the Chicago Bears likely will start linebacker Alec Ogletree in Week 1

Alec Ogletree trade is great

So it's just been reported that the Rams have traded LB Alec Ogletree to the Giants for 2 2018 draft picks, unknown what picks they are exactly. Anyways, I think that this trade makes the Giants an even better partner to trade up in the draft with. It means the Giants may be willing to trade down so that they can recoup the 2 picks they just gave up. Gives them more reason to trade down with us now, especially considering we have 2 first round picks and a few good picks after that...not to mention Cordy Glenn would help their OL.
