Obozavam ajvar, ali me ponekad smeta sto tako zdrav prilod ide obicno uz nezdravu hranu. Nemojte me krivo shvatiti: jesti cu cevape i kranjsku dok sam ziv, ali nisu bas za svaki dan.
S cim kombinirate ajvar da se radi o kolko-tolko zdravom ili balansiranom obroku?
Rekao bih da bečka snicla sa ajvarom ide u tu kategoriju.
Ajvar sa kruhom? Jedino mozda ako ga zameziš sa nekim sirom i domaćim sudžukom. Ponekad i rajcica dobro dođe, pogotovo kada je u sezoni.
Balansirani obroci, a k tome jako fini.
Ajvar is a spread(?) made from roasted red bell peppers and eggplant that is very popular in some Balkan countries. I’ve never had it but have heard it’s incredible. I was gonna try to make some but wanted to test it out first. Anyone have a good spot?
Also taking recommendations on how it’s best served. Bread?
Edit: I don’t think I can respond to everybody but you all have given me some great ideas of places check out. Any more ideas on how to use ajvar/recommendations for other Balkan delicacies around here are very welcome!

Hi folks, I am looking for some info on ajvar's origin. The one I know is that Vlahs (from Macedonia) brought it in Serbian restaurants in late XVIII century. What is your insight on this?

Hey guys,
Recently a friend of ours from Makedonija gave us a jar of ajvar which his father made. The paprika inside was on a whole other level, it was better than eating stake.
Can you tell me which type of paprika you tipically use? Where can you buy the seeds?
