The Owl in Ahsoka episode 8
false

So I just watched a video to understand what it's about with father, son and daughter. I never watched rebels (shame on me). When the picture of the mortis gods was shown I immediately saw the bird, that was with the daughter and remembered a scene from Ahsoka.

In the last episode of Ahsoka an owl like bird looked at Ahsoka and flew away. I think it was the daughter or at least some kind of familiar or harbinger, since the daughter was shown with a similar bird in rebels. Ahsoka seems to recognise her in a way, she is so sure to be in the right place afterwards.

What do you think 🤔

(I hope everything can be understood, I'm not a native speaker. Edited because of spelling and grammar mistakes)

[SPOILERS] A lookback at the Night Troopers from Ahsoka Episode 8
false

Again: Spoilers for Ahsoka Part 8: The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord.

During the episode, we saw the Great Mothers' resurrect a chosen group of Thrawn's Night Troopers from the dead after they were killed by Ahsoka, Ezra and Sabine. At first glance, it appears that the Great Mothers' undead magick is similar to what we have seen before with Old Daka in the Clone Wars episode "Massacre' making an Army of the Dead and again with Merrin in Jedi: Fallen Order with the Chant of Resurrection.

However, there are some very noticeable differences!

Unlike Merrin and Old Daka's Chant of Resurrection, it appears that the resurrection spell the Great Mothers cast is much more powerful.

  • When the Night Troopers are first resurrected, they have the characteristically glowing green eyes that the undead Night Sisters in The Clone Wars and Fallen Order had. However, they lose them and the green magick aura after the first door on the fortress is locked. They also lose their stereotypical undead gait and zombie moaning after a while and return to acting like normal Stormtroopers.

  • They regain their intelligence and (relative) combat prowess: Unlike the zombified Nightsisters, the Night Troopers can use tactics again after their first resurrection as well as use tools (cutting tools and explosives) as well as speak to some extent. It's almost akin to those infected by the Blackwing Virus from the Death troopers novel. Ironically enough, in the Star Wars Galaxies MMORPG, Dathomir was put under quarantine due to an outbreak at an Imperial bioweapons facility there.

  • They can get back up almost continuously unless they are decapitated, unlike the undead Nightsisters.

However, there is a caveat, it appears in one case at least with the Death Trooper Sabine grappled with, that potentially depending on the damage sustained or time before resurrection that they can return to a feral state. Although, those Death Troopers may be the two Bridger killed in the Rebels series finale Family Reunion - and Farewell which is why the one Sabine damaged was so desiccated.

Did anyone else notice the differences between the zombified Nightsisters and the Night Troopers, or anything else of note? What do you think it could mean for the future?

Okay here my out. My theory for Ahsoka episode 8
false

Here my theory for the finale of Ahsoka. I don’t believe I have seen this anywhere so just wanted to put it out there. This is how the finale will ultimately go. Ahsoka, Sabine, & Ezra might have 1 more battle with thrawn but I don’t think it will be drawn out as much. Thrawn as already said he doesn’t care about them really and has no problem leaving them there to get back to the other galaxy. Thrawn will leave with his ship on the ring and emerge to an unsuspecting new republic ship of some sort somewhere completely destroying it essentially announcing his return. That will be thrawns part of the last episode.

Now what about Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine they are still stuck over there after all. This is where the Dave filoni “season 5” of rebels comes in. The last season of rebels saw the emperor wanting the world between worlds as essentially unlimited power. Rebels also showed the world between worlds as a sort of interdimensional Gateway. Now this is where Baylon’s part comes in. He keeps talking about a power of sorts and his desired to end the cycle. What if there is another World between worlds gateway like the one in rebels and that is what Baylon is after. Ahsoka and the group discover this as well and ahsoka and Baylon battle it out one last time fighting for the gateway with Ashoka getting the upper hand this time. The gang then uses the gateway to get back to their galaxy and that is where the season ends all in a nutshell minus some details here and there. Now that would be a “season 5” of rebels.

My thought process just came from thinking they all have to get back to the other galaxy but can’t all go together on the same ship.
