They have made a joke out of Aadhya’s trauma!! They have made a joke out of Aadhya’s trauma!!
Shit Post

First they didn’t address it properly. Now they are just making her the sole reason of Anupama and Anuj’s separation. First of all didn’t Anupama leave Kapadias when Aadhya was 6 or 7 something? And didn’t bother contacting them or finding out how they were? Randomly appears in their life where they have finally settled and started dealing with the aftermath of shah’s! Now all the people around her just keep screaming at her telling how great Anupama is and how she should be grateful to be adopted by her. Is everyone forgetting that Aadhya is 12? This is crazy how they are dealing with kid’s abandonment issues! Her wanting Shruti as her mom instead of Anu is not at all weird with what all drama these people bring to her life. All that girl needs is good attentive parents and a stable life. And all she gets is crazy drama! A girl who was abandoned by her biological mother, settles in an orphanage only to be adopted and uprooted. Then drama drama drama continues. Bio mom comes back to claim her. Bio mom dies infront of her. Then has to deal with being treated like an outsider by her own so called mom, who is perpetually absent!! Then comes abandoment issues, her mom leaving without a trace. Moved to a different country with existing trauma and panic attacks. Finally she sees her dad moving on with this girl. Anuj and Shruti had a live-in relationship. Are they conveniently forgetting that when Anuj is screaming on top of his lungs how much he loves Anupama? This is so disgusting!! Now again everyone is forcing her to accept Anupama and Anuj. Instead of dumping her with this nonsense, they could try to reassure her that them getting back together is as much a priority as her in their life. This entire show is so stupid!!!! They have made a joke out of mental health and panic attacks. DKP in general never deal with mental health properly. They shouldn’t explore it at all. Stick to your shadi’s and thapads!

Dev Dixit in KRPKAB Dev Dixit in KRPKAB
Discuss

First of all, to introduce myself I'm not a vivid ITV follower and I just watch few here and there with my mom when there's free time.

I have watched a reel on my insta regarding KRPKAB and it led me to watch the show. I just finished watching till Sonakshi and Ritwick engagement track. I just realised that Dev dixit literally obsessed about Sonakshi. Dialogues like "Jab tak main tumse pyaar karta rahunga, tum kisike saath pyaar nahi kar sakthi"

"Tumhare aanson par, tumhara har cheez par sirf mujhe haq hain" proves that. Even that dialogue from Sonakshi where she tells "Tumhari maa mujhe tumke saat khush nahi dekhna chahti. Tum mujhe kisi aur ke saath khush nahi dekhna chahte ho". He literally stalks her and tries to sabotage Sonakshi's fiancee's career. He did the same with Sonakshi btw.

When discussed with my friends, my friends were literally ok with it cause he loves Sonakshi.

Like what were your thoughts about his character? Did anyone of you follow the show at that time?

Contemporary vs Golden Period ITV Dramas Contemporary vs Golden Period ITV Dramas

I am prompted to write this post because I am currently watching the re-aired Kahiin Toh Hoga and having a very similar experience as another user had after re-watching the original Kasautii Zindagi Kay. I think the show is extremely modern- Veena (the saas) attends all business parties and is offered alcohol by her husband as casually as any other member would have, the Garehwal-Raheja bahus wear western outfits everyday, the show starts off with Kashish looking for a job and not being prepped into a marriage, infact all five Sinha sister (yes the show has a family of five sisters) are independent and working at different points in time be it as a model, a marketing executive or anything, they drive and go out as any one their age would.

That was truly the golden age of television (2000-2015). I mean this period saw Prernas and Kashishs but also Gopi and Khushi but atleast the latter two were quality shows and hence I use this period. So, how did we become so regressive and absurd I know not. But here are common made up notions that no one questions in contemporary shows.

  1. Gopi Gawar Bahus- timid, doormat, clad in conservative traditional clothes, selfless, marked by an exceptionally low IQ as they get fooled by the villians time and again. They function on highly impractical bookish morals that are obviously mutually exclusive with intelligence. Gyaan- they break into gyaan giving session- long sermons to impose how they are better than everyone else.

  2. Bad things tauba tauba- alcohol, western clothes or God forbid- ambitious woman ahhhh !!! Must be a home- wrecking, gold-digging, wh@re because logic.

  3. No nuance- bad is all black and good is all white- at no point does anyone admit that characters are derived from organic personalities- they cannot be bookish tropes.

  4. Makeup, filter outfits- the skin and makeup of the OG ITV girl- Kashish, Khushi, Madhubala looked so real it could be told what products are used this current lot YRKKH 3 Gen, Jhalak or Jhanak whatever Ghum Hai Kisi whatever shows that I have not watched- have these weird filters on faces- everyone is so white and their lipsticks are so pink it is unreal and very funny. Earlier the shows had such beautiful cinematography, so fresh alas.

The clothes were so iconic, like real clothes- Kashish, Prerna, Geet, Anjali, Khushi, Madhubala had such gorgeous fits and Sujal Garewal single handledly revamped the turtle neck sweater fashion- my mom till date remember him as the boy who wore high neck sweaters.

Exceptions are there, of course. Do add what do you all think of the shows that were ahead of their time and how are we faring now.

ANUPAMA: PROMOTING CHILDFREE FAMILY ANUPAMA: PROMOTING CHILDFREE FAMILY
Serial Talk

At its core that's what it is. DO NOT HAVE KIDS THEY'LL RUIN YOUR LIFE.

Baa baapuji they created a traditional Indian family, along with all the toxicity, and that remained the core message of the show, how families are complete when together, but at the end, buddhe akele hi marenge kisi old age home mein. Even Vanraj who claimed to be a good son all along, failed.

Paakhi Toshu remain the poster child of toxicity and an assh0le, literally get your uterus out and then snip snap your tubes to make sure you don't make a toxic cocktail like them

Aadhya too, first of all she's adopted by wrong people. Bc kabr mein pair hain, and these buddhes want to adopt a child. IT's funny how less shit Anuj gets for actually ruining their happy life knowing full well Anupama has 3-4 (idk man along with her DILs and SILs) kids and she's in their life. He adopts kids only to throw the responsibility on other women. Bhai tu kutta paal le.

Now Aadhya after separating Maan, will feel guilty forever, and will be the next gen Anupamaaa who'll just be utter selfless.

Is "Diya Aur Baati Hum" worth watching the entire show or is it mostly fillers? Is "Diya Aur Baati Hum" worth watching the entire show or is it mostly fillers?

I am a Telugu guy and my Hindi is okay. I can understand for the most part but can't speak very well.

Recently, I saw a clip from Diya Aur Baati Hum on my feed and I was hooked. I saw some more reels and I like the premise of the show and the chemistry between the couple as well. It felt very inspiring on how both support each other. I am a stone hearted guy and even I found this couple cute.

It also bought also old memories. I saw 2-3 episodes of this show in Telugu dubbed with my grandma several years ago. Hero gets framed and heroine saves him in the cooking competition.

There are over 1000 episodes. The show is YouTube but idk if all episodes are there. Hulu (US) has HotStar library but they don't post the entirety of the library. Most shows only have limited episodes.

I am debating on watching the entire show but is it worth it? Is the Hindi simple and easy to understand? Thanks

So another Anupamaa leap is happening for the exact same reason? So another Anupamaa leap is happening for the exact same reason?
Serial Talk

Anupama is again going to act like a victim & abandon Anuj because Choti threw a tantrum, instead of facing & fixing the issue head on? She has broken so many promises, many made to Anuj & Choti when they used to beg her to be with them. But now that she has made one that distances herself from Anuj, she cares enough to uphold it?

The entire namaste America BS was just to get her humiliated a hundred different ways and never return?

And the woman who abandoned her own mother during her last years suddenly cares enough to run an old age home? AFAIK she didn't even attend Kanta's funeral.

What are some iconic dialogues by ITV characters? What are some iconic dialogues by ITV characters?
Down the memory lane

I will say Anupamaa's "Aapko kya?"

This will always stay evergreen lol.

Edit- Bhavani kaku's "Mast ha mast ha👌" 😂

Edit 2-And one more, ASR's " I love you god dammit"🥹

Edit 3- Remembered some from IPZN~

• Ishqi about her AVM " ye naam teen banda mean itna bhi bura nahi hai"

•Also, Ahaan to Ishqi " Sorry boli jaati hai maangi nahi jaati".😂

•Also Kartik's "Kya ho Rhea hai?" ( My favest🥹😂)

Edit 4- (Silsila Badalte Rishto ka) ~ Mauli " Don't you dare play the victim Kunal! I am the victim here..Tumhe aur Nandini ko toh ek dusre ka saath Mila hai par maine sab kho diya" (Aditi was sooo good here)
