Harassment from drug junkies in Anchorage Harassment from drug junkies in Anchorage

Hi everyone. What am I supposed to do when the homeless drug addicts in my neighborhood have become bad enough that I feel unsafe working outside my house?

One has repeatedly been around this week bothering every person, screaming curse words, and not listening when being told to go away. His behavior is clearly ment to be threatening. I assume if I call the police they will do nothing and I will just end up having my cars and home vandalized at a later time or worse violently confronted. Our cars have been robed our packages get stolen and I feel like the city let's these people run my neighborhood.

Getting to Katmai NP Getting to Katmai NP

I have been trying to book accommodation in Katmai for about 2 months but that hotel by Brooks falls do not reply to our inquiry. The trip is fast approaching now and it seems staying in the park is not an option.

How does one get to Katmai NP independently? We found one charter flight but it's quite pricey and would be a last resort.

We want to photograph bears catching salmon by the river at Brooks falls and other wildlife in the National park. Are there cars available for hire at the airstrip?

Sawmill lake trapper creek guide Sawmill lake trapper creek guide

I'm buying property on sawmill lake in trapper creek, and I was wondering how to best get there and if I need to upgrade to serious mud tires on my truck. There are a couple of atv trails that go out there, one looks like it starts near the elementary school somewhere and the other looks like it starts on/near the airstrip. Also I have a small truck so I'm not worried about the trails being too small. Has anyone been on either of these trails and if so which is in better condition? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Experience finding remote work from AK? Experience finding remote work from AK?

I work in the advertising/marketing/tech/program management sphere and my partner and I are considering a move to Alaska. While I currently work remotely, Alaska is on the excluded states list at my company. I’ve also found it to be on the exclusion list for most remote job postings I’ve seen and with freelance companies in my field.

Asking current Alaskans who have found remote work - did you find it difficult to find companies willing to let you work remotely from AK or, if you’re in my industry do you know of any companies that allow it?
