Looking for an RPG to staple Troika! onto Looking for an RPG to staple Troika! onto
Game Suggestion

I really like the aesthetic and energy of Troika!. However, after running a couple of scenarios from it (The Blancmange and Thistle and Slow Sleigh to Plankton Downs) I have found the core system frustrating to use and overly simplistic - in particular the single "Skill" attribute and the combat system. I have a couple of other Troika! scenarios/adventures (Fronds of Benevolence and The Big Squirm) and would like to run them, but am toying with the idea of finding a different RPG to use as a base, but with Troika! stapled on-top to keep the same vibe.

I want to be able to keep the Troika! backgrounds as they are very evocative. I also like the spells a lot. The other adventures I have are mostly descriptions of locations and NPCs so are relatively system-agnostic.

I have run several year-long D&D 5e campaigns, then switched to Call of Cthulhu where I ran a dozen different one-shot scenarios before running a year-long Pulp Cthulhu campaign. I have played in a couple of Mörk Borg one-shots. I'm currently trying to branch out and try different systems, and think that Troika! has a really awesome theme.

I'm interested by PBtA-style games and have read the Dungeon World Guide and the Blades in the Dark rules but have never run any of them so don't know how much I would enjoy them in practice, but am open to suggestions.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to modify the system instead of sticking it onto another system that would also be very welcomed.

This is the description of Troika! from their website:

TROIKA! is a science-fantasy role-playing game where you and your cosmopolitan group of fellow travellers explore the ends of the multiverse. You will fly on mystic barges, help dying gods, solve confounding crimes, plunder dead worlds, and meet strange & wonderful people.

TL;DR: I love the art and the vibe of Troika! but don't like the actual rules, so want to find something else that I can use to stick a Troika! facade onto.

How do I get people on my campus to play non-Dnd 5e? How do I get people on my campus to play non-Dnd 5e?
DND Alternative

On my campus next semester, I want to start a ttrpg club, but not for dnd 5e. I want to run Cyberpunk Red instead. How should I go about pitching that to people in order to get people to show up? Dungeons and dragons is something people are usually familiar and cool with. But with something more niche, I think it's harder to get people to understand/show up. I would love advice on how I should go about doing it? I plan to put up flyers/posters around campus and at desks, I guess I just don't really know if that will be enough? Or what kind of things to say or put on said flyer?
