I’m deeply disappointed that the Liberal party have joined the Nationals to oppose Indigenous constitutional recognition. They’ve chosen to refuse us the fairness of a Voice. I’m no less confident that we can succeed - it’s the Australian people who will ultimately decide.

Outstanding result in #Aston. Mary Doyle will be a fantastic advocate for this community in Government. Thanks to our volunteers and young people who were all in, like Mary, in shaping that better future we want.

The vote in the Voice Referendum this year will be a vote you’ll remember for the rest of your life. This week of action, start the conversation with your friends & family about why you support an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.

The Libs have forgotten their own history on constitutional support for First Nations people. Robert Menzies agreed to the 1967 referendum, Harold Holt (the former Member for Higgins) got it done & John Howard advocated for indigenous recognition in the 1999 referendum.

Gendered violence is a huge issue in PNG and is rooted in the harsh reality that women are not treated as equals. Too many ambulances at the bottom of the cliff when more must be done to educate, empower and give women a political voice. TY for having us.

A warm welcome to the Kuriva Health Centre for our delegation of Federal MPs. Highlighting a common challenge faced in many areas of #PNG - health workforce shortages - staffed by only one community health worker, despite being a high burden area for #malaria and other diseases.

The ⁦⁩ are doing incredible work supporting local case workers deal with TB. This disease of poverty has a foothold in PNG made worse by HIV. We look forward to seeing up to date WHO guidelines rolled out and will continue to support this work.

An honour to be on a multipartisan delegation to PNG focused on health. TB, malaria, HIV, gendered violence, malnutrition… on our doorstep. Despite the odds, the people of PNG push on with what meagre resources they have. We will support them in whatever way we can.
