I lost my mom to cancer right around the time I got a Nintendo Switch and this game. I've been doing a search on how to stop these in game emails from "Mom." Though they can be endearing they are also very painful at the same time.
I see some posts where people appreciate them but I do not, even four years after her death. I just don't want to see these emails anymore. I read somewhere that the in game person chosen to send these emails depends on a question asked when we started the game. Is the true? Is the only way I can fix this is to start over?

I always just hoard them because they're pretty and shiny and I'm a Neanderthal. That and because they're easy gifts. I've never actually considered that they might have actual uses

I sunk a tonnnn of hours into this game about a year ago and got burned out. Picked it back up a few weeks ago and was excited to have a whole bunch of new characters and content! Have since fully leveled up almost everyone.
Cut to yesterday when I saw that Mulan was being released today. Checked my Dreamlight, had just over 1,000. Spent hoursssss grinding yesterday to get to 30k so I can get her today.
Please be impressed because surely nobody in my life will understand how tasky this was!!!
