Population demographics here in the United States have seen major changes in the last hundred years. Not only have childhood mortality numbers plummeted, but the birth rate has as well. These changes mean we need to reevaluate what constitutes a "young" and an "old" person.

Using data from the 2022 American Community Survey, Flowing Data put together a handy tool that stacks up your age against the rest of the country.

While there are statistical differences between men and women, 39 is the overall threshold where you tick over to "old." We can hear the wailing of older millennials already, but you can see the data for yourself.
