3. Put a cap on the stem of the mushroom. If necessary, you can fix the cap with thread
stitches.

MARIO PATTERN
First leg:
Attention: Everybody has different crochet tension and if you see that the row ends are
not symmetrical on both legs, just crochet 1sc more or 1sc less if needed.

Continue: chain 8 and join the first leg with slip stitch. While joining the legs, the feet
should be turned towards each other.
Crochet 6-8sc to move the beginning of the row to the left and change the color of the red
yarn.
31 R – 48sc - back loop only
32 R – 48sc
Start to make decreases on the sides of the toy. Crochet 1-2sc to move the beginning of
the row, so decreases would be evenly on the sides of the toy. Place the marker to mark the
beginning of the round. Stuff it as you go.

Head:

Fold the arms in half and work 3sc joining the two edges. Fasten off. Cut the yarn leaving
a long tail for assembly.
Hair:
Fasten off. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for assembly. Make 2 details.
Nose:

1 R – start from the 2nd stitch from the hook: sl st, hdc, dc, hdc, sl st
Fasten off. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for assembly. Make 2 details.
Mustache:
1 R – start from the 4th stitch from the hook: dc, sl st, 2dc in 1 stitch, 4sl st, 2dc in 1 stitch,

Let's move on to crochet a cap visor. Next, we will crochet not in a circle, but in the
opposite direction. Turn work after each row.

Fasten off. If necessary, crochet the sides of the visor with sc. Hide yarn tail inside the
detail.

Cap patch:
Sew on a patch on the cap and embroider "M" as shown in the photo below:
Gloves:

Second detail:
1 R – 6sc in magic ring
2 R – (1sc, inc)×3 (9)
Place the marker to mark the beginning of the row.

Don't fasten off. Join the first detail with slip stitch.
Make 17sc in a circle:
5 R - 5sc around the first detail, 12sc around the second detail (17)

9 R – 2sl st (don't finish the row)
Fasten off. Hide yarn tail inside the detail. Make 2 gloves.

Assembling:
2. Sew arms on the sides of the body at the level of rows 43-45.
3. Put the hair on the head and sew it with basting stitches.

5. Making the bib of the jumpsuit.
Use blue yarn.
Chain 17.
Leave the long tip of the yarn (1-2m) for the straps.
Fasten off. Leave a long tip for sewing the bib to the jumpsuit and for decorating the belt.

Using a long tail that we left at the beginning, chain 25-28 and make two straps as shown
in the photo below:
With the other end of the thread, make a belt from ch38-40, wrap around the body and
attach to the other side of the bib:

7. Sew on the nose at the level of 15-17 rows.
8. Sew eyes to the head at the level of rows 15-16. Distance between eyes 8-9sc:
Embroider eyes shadows with white thread as shown in the photo below:

9. Sew on the mustache at the level of 17-19 rows:
11. Put blush on the cheeks. Put on a cap and gloves on Mario. Congratulations on the
creation of your new baby!
