While I can semi-understand Neuman not wanting to kill Hughie because he'll release the footage showing she's a Supe, I don't understand why Neuman/Vought/Homelander haven't taken the more obvious actions like:
Kidnap MM's ex-wife and daughter, Starlight's mother, Hughie's Dad (pre-heart situation), and Butcher's Mom (he half-way cares about her) and basically threaten to murder them at any moment if The Boys don't turn themselves in and stop all activity against Vought, including giving up all evidence of the plane crash, Neuman's Supe identity, etc.? None of these people are in hiding and its probably the first move another super villain like Joker or Lex Luthor would make.
