If you woke up tomorrow with all of Homelander’s powers, what are the first things you’d do??
r/TheBoys

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing. We also discuss the satellite shows Diabolical and Gen V. We are not affiliated with Amazon or Prime TV in any capacity.

Antony Starr is offended when people treat him like he’s Homelander in real life. “People are surprised, like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re actually not like him.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, he’s a psychopathic narcissist. So yeah, thanks.’”

If you could have one other member of the original Guardians survive Omni-Man's attack (not counting the Immortal), who would you pick and why?
r/Invincible

Invincible is an Image Comics and Amazon TV series named for its superhero, "Invincible" ("Mark Grayson"). Created by writer Robert Kirkman with artists Cory Walker & Ryan Ottley. S1 & S2 are out now and S3 is on the way! Mark Grayson is a normal teenager, except for the fact that his father Nolan is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father's tutelage.

I’m kind of disappointed Vought doesn’t have a rival corporation. Even Amazon has competitors. They don’t have to be larger than Vought, but sizable enough to inspire some whacky choices Vought makes to stay relevant.

It’s difficult to compete with Vought when they have The Homelander, decades of market dominance, and a monopoly on Compound V. BUT, even with that I’m surprised there’s not even 1 corporation who tried to replicate the success of the 7 or do something different regarding supes.

For an example, Golden Boy was being propped up as the next big thing before his demise. It would’ve been great for world building if he was being offered contracts by different companies in attempts to capatilize on Vought’s fuck ups. Golden Boy could have been “Homelander” for their world’s version of “Google” or something. It could’ve played into Homelanders anxiety about aging and being replaced eventually.

Wish we could’ve got a NFSL, NSBA or USFC, which wasn’t owned by Vought. Serving as alternative entertainment to Vought and aspiring young Supes to be more than the next Homelander.

Feels like a missed opportunity. What y’all think?
