George is cruel
r/RenFaireHBO

When the ailing king of America's largest renaissance festival declares his retirement, an epic power struggle ensues between an actor, a former elephant trainer, and a kettle-corn kingpin to claim his throne.

George is cruel

Even though it's obvious George doesn't really care about the RennFaire, outside of the money aspect, I believe he was never going to sell the faire. He just wanted to dangle it infront of everyone, and get them as frustrated and upset as he is. He wants to disappoint and hurt people.

He did the same thing to that girl Pope. He more than likely knew she was there for money / a sugar baby relationship and mentioned 10 million dollars to her, probably knowing the entire time he was going to reject her.

When George said he had a lot of fear, it's obvious. He built a whole world of fantasy and imagination and won't let anyone near him. He's paranoid and cold hearted.

Horrible.

Also, I don't like Jeff, but what he did to him was awful. All that man knew was the Renaissance faire. He worked there his entire life. To fire him just like that? Really... when George said he didn't think about the happiness of other people, he was not lying. If he could make all of the people working at the RenFaire miserable, including the business owners, he would.

Anyone in "King Georges" orbit is gonna get abused.

It's just insane to me that someone like Peck got away with 16 months in prison for rape of a child and still lives in walking distance of hotspots. His house is 500 feet away from a playground and is next to an elementary, gosh it makes me sick. The sentence was probably laughable to him and he has definitely done it others.

Arable vs Animal Farming

Having watched all three series I have a bit of a question about the amount of work involved in the two different types of farming done on Diddly Squat.

It seems that outside of planting and harvesting time, there isn't a massive amount to be done on the crop farming, but that the various different livestock that have been kept on the farm seem much more labour intensive. Is this an accurate representation of farming, or does crop farming have lots of ongoing work between planting and harvesting?

I fully realise that this might be done for the show, as people much prefer seeing animals on screen than plants, but with no experience of either I was wondering how accurate a depiction it is?

And now the Skinwalker Ranch guys have gotten the memo

Look, sometimes I watch “Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch” on Hulu because I enjoy punishing myself, yeah?

Imagine my not-quite-surprise when they field a report of three-toed footprints near one of the ranch’s hotspots. The witness said they were “three-toed footprints about six inches long,” made the Vulcan 🖖 and said “like that but all the toes were equal” and that he could “put my hand down into it”

The relevant clip is in S4e9 “Something’s Up” at around the eleven minute mark. Four seasons in, and finally these dudes find something that excites me, lol!
