No doubt many of you have also achieved this quality level of ironing. Being someone who doesn't really use ironing, I've never taken the time to experiment with it until now. And no, I didn't spend hours trying micro adjustments. I made three attempts and just kind of stumbled across it.

Unless you get your very very close to it, you cannot see the ironing or nozzle marks at all.

I've included a snapshot of my settings used on the X1C, I do believe that any printer is capable of this. The rotation of the lines at 90degrees was not done with this specifically in mind. But I was assuming there would be SOME marks left behind and I need them to be shown in a particular direction. I was not however expecting them to be invisible and I don't believe the rotation has contributed to it.

The screw in the photos was required because the camera was unable to focus on just the surface. Plus it allows you guys to see, that the camera is in focus and the surface really is that smooth!

In summary, here are the specs of the print and settings.

  • Printer: Bambu X1C

  • Hotend: E3D/Bambu High Flow .6mm

  • Filament: Siddament Banana Yellow Matte

  • Pattern: Rectilinear

  • Speed: 35mm/s

  • Flow: 40%

  • Line Spacing: 0.15mm

  • Angle: 90
