With Tigers hooker Api Koroisau, young Stefano Utoikamanu and Raiders prop Josh Papali'i not factoring for the Blues or Maroons, neither of these teams have been hit by State of Origin outs.

In addition to the return of Adam Doueihi after more than a year sidelined by injury, the Tigers are handing a debut to Luke Laulilii, who is the younger brother of Kit Laulilii, who's on the bench today.

We're smack bang in the dog days of the 2024 NRL season and we still don't know a lot about what the top eight will look like some finals time, but we do know it's almost definitely going to be very congested from about fourth to 12th.
Currently two wins separate the fourth-placed Roosters (20 points) from Newcastle in 12th (16 pts), and right in between them in 10th is Canberra (18pts).

The Raiders were fifth after round 15 and can jump back up to sixth - past the Dragons, Broncos, Cowboys and Bulldogs, all of whom are on 18 points - with a win this afternoon.
Canberra also currently has the equal worst four and against of any team outside the bottom four, so they'll want to in and win big today.
The Tigers, meanwhile, are in an interesting spot. They've had some decent wins this year, including against Gold Coast last week, and could get off the bottom of the ladder with a win today.
They also welcome back oft-injured Adam Doueihi, who will line up in the centres for his first game since round six last year.
He's fresh off a contract extension and returned with Wests in the NSW Cup last week.
Fetalaiga Pauga set for a month out for ugly high shot

Already without Joseph Sua'ali'i for his Origin high shot, the Roosters are set for another month without Fetalaiga Pauga after he was charged with the same grade two reckless high tackle.
Pauga coathangered Bulldogs fullback Connor Tracey during the Roosters' 26-8 win last night and was sent off for his troubles.
Andrew Johns said on Nine that four weeks was not enough for the 28-year-old, who himself was demolished by a completely legal shot from Jeral Skelton earlier in the match.
"That was a stiff arm. That's an old fashioned coathanger. It's hard to watch," Johns said on Nine's Sunday Footy Show.
The Roosters are already without luckless Billy Smith, who has a troubling ankle injury.

We're wrapping up round 16 of the NRL with a showdown between the Tigers and Raiders at Campbelltown.
The teams are coming into this one in very different circumstances - Wests fighting for their life in last place but coming off a win over the Titans, and Canberra in a battle for the top eight but fresh from a disappointing loss at home to the Cowboys.
I'm Jon Healy and I'll be your guide as they finish off this weekend's games.
