Women have been fighting back against unjust incarceration and atrocious prison treatment for decades. The rising rate of women's incarceration can be partially attributed to the racist war on drugs, the criminalization of self-defense, & political imprisonment. Once inside, women suffer from poor healthcare, sexual abuse, and other human rights violations, which they resist through rebellions, protests, demonstrations, and more.
