Andrei Markov, i miss him.

The way the team treated him at the end was not fair at all. I hope one day he can join back the organization in some type of way. Defense or power play coach maybe ? Something else maybe ? The guy was such a class act and probably one of the most underrated D-Man of all time. Carried the team for years in the most quiet way.

Miss you Marky.

The last time the Habs beat the Avalanche in Colorado was on December 1st, 2014. The Habs goalscorers that night were Jiri Sekac, Andrei Markov, PK Subban & Max Pacioretty

I want to know your opinion about Andrei Markov.

Yeah, i know, it's late for talking about him but i was not on reddit when he left the team in 2017 and I was not active in discussions about the habs.

I fall in love with hockey at the age 6-7, around season 06-07/07-08. So I grow up with players like Koivu, Kovalev, Plekanec, Kostitsyn brothers and Markov (Just to name those who marked my childhood). I can't remember exactly why but Markov was my favorite player, at the time, if I had the choice between Koivu/Price jersey or Markov, it would be the 79 without hesitation. That's one of the reason why I bring back his name, I was too young to have an actual opinion about hockey.

That being said, i want to hear what you think about his career in Montréal. What do you feel about how the team ended their relation with Markov ? What more could he have done to have his name immortalized somewhere other than our mind?

Dont need to answer these specific questions, i just want your thoughts on him, whether good or bad.
