Anyone Else Had a Fascination With Ancient Egypt as a Kid?

As a kid, I remembered that I had a huge fascination with ancient Egypt as a kid in the 90s. I remember that I was so obsessed with it that I got my hands on anything ting that was about the topic, even dressing up as Cleopatra for Halloween once year and never taking off the costume. I remembered that there was games and ya books on the subject everywhere too. This fascination does date back before the 1999 movie “The Mummy”, which I asked my dad to take me to see when it came out. Did any one else had the experience or was it just me?
