Shameful how the Sophia Senior Secondary School of Ajmer continues to operate today without any acknowledgement of the 1992 Ajmer serial gangrape and blackmailing scandal

A recent news I read where a rape survivor was denied entry to her school to collect her board exam admit card because she will "disturb the atmosphere" broke my heart completely. And this took me back to another case where this particular school in Ajmer is pretending that rapes don't happen at all. The 1992 Ajmer scandal was a series of gangrapes and blackmailing where reportedly 250 school and college going girls aged between 11 and 20 years were the victims of this monstrous crime. Most of the victims belonged to Sophia Senior Secondary School of Ajmer which continues to operate today without any acknowledgement of the crime. Farooq Chisti, the president of the Youth Congress in Ajmer (Rajasthan), took obscene photos of a female student from Sophia Senior Secondary School. He intimidated the girl that if she didn't obey him, her photos would be spread among the masses. His demand: Introduce more girls to Farooq and his gang. Now here is where the school could have saved the lives of so many girls. As many as 250 girls were trapped, sexually exploited and blackmailed for years by the caretakers of Ajmer Dargah, including influential men and Indian National Congress leaders.

Farooq Chisty was released by the high court in 2013

The scandal sent shockwaves across the nation, shedding light on the pervasive issue of human trafficking and the abuse. But to this day Sophia Senior Secondary School does not acknowledge, does not commemorate, does not teach and does not spread awareness on this topic. Its all kept hush-hush and everyday the school pretends none of this ever happened, like how the rest of the country is afraid to speak out on this because minorities cannot be a threat to our society

So dear schools of India, here are a few things you are MORALLY OBLIGIED to do if you school has a rape survivor.

  1. Provide Confidential Counseling Services: Schools should offer confidential counseling services with trained professionals who specialize in trauma-informed care. Survivors need a safe space to process their experiences, manage their emotions, and receive support without fear of judgment or stigma. THE GIRLS WERE BLACKMAILED BY YOU, BY THE MEDIA BECAUSE OF INC CONNECTIONS. HOW SHAMEFUL.

  2. Educate Staff and Students: Schools should provide comprehensive training for staff and students on sexual violence prevention, consent, and how to support survivors. This education helps create a culture of empathy, respect, and accountability within the school community.

  3. Implement Trauma-Informed Practices: Schools should adopt trauma-informed practices that recognize the impact of trauma on survivors' behavior and well-being. This includes creating flexible accommodations, establishing predictable routines, and offering sensory-friendly environments to support survivors' academic and emotional needs.

  4. Ensure Safety: Schools must prioritize survivors' safety by implementing policies and procedures to prevent further victimization. This includes enforcing strict anti-bullying and harassment policies, providing escorts or security personnel if necessary, and ensuring survivors can navigate the school environment without fear. MAYBE IF THERE WAS A SCHOOL BUS FACILITY, THE DARGAH GOONS WOULD NOT HAVEHAD ACESS TO VULNERABLE GIRLS AT ALL.

  5. Offer Academic Support: Survivors may experience difficulties concentrating, attending school regularly, or completing assignments due to trauma-related symptoms. Schools should provide academic accommodations, such as flexible deadlines, extra tutoring, or modified coursework, to help survivors succeed academically.

  6. Facilitate Peer Support Groups: Peer support groups can provide survivors with a sense of belonging, validation, and understanding. Schools can facilitate these groups, led by trained facilitators, where survivors can connect with others who have had similar experiences and share coping strategies.

  7. Collaborate with Community Resources: Schools should collaborate with local organizations and agencies that specialize in supporting survivors of sexual violence. These partnerships can provide additional resources, such as counseling services, legal advocacy, and crisis intervention, to meet survivors' diverse needs. THE AJMER MAHILA SAMOOH TRIED TO HELP, BUT,,,,,,

  8. Promote Consent and Respectful Relationships: Schools should promote healthy relationships, consent, and respectful communication through comprehensive sex education programs. These programs empower students to recognize and prevent sexual violence, challenge harmful gender norms, and cultivate empathy and respect for others.

  9. Empower Survivors: Schools should empower survivors to make informed decisions about their healing journey. This includes respecting survivors' autonomy, validating their experiences, and providing information about available resources and support options.

  10. Create a Culture of Belief and Support: Above all, schools should create a culture of belief, validation, and support for survivors. Survivors need to feel heard, believed, and supported by their peers, teachers, and administrators. By fostering a culture of empathy and accountability, schools can create a safer and more inclusive environment for all students.

The Navyajyothi editor who brought this case to light was BRUTUALLY murdered, because ...... RAJ . There were 18 convicts named in that biggest sex scandal of India. But only 8 of them were proved to be victims. But the irony is that only four of them could be punished with life imprisonment. Later the judges of High Court of Jaipur declared that life imprisonment was a harsh punishment for them and reduced the sentence to 10 years only. Even the dargah still runs today, i don't know how can someone even pray there anymore to be very honest.

Veganism in Jaipur, Ajmer?

I am planning a trip to Ajmer and Jaipur, and I wanted to know how's the veganism scene there?

Basically, just wanted to know if there are any dhabas or restaurants who do not cook everything in ghee (oils are fine).

Also, are there any vegan-only restaurants or café in these cities?

Just so people know, vegans do not consume animal derived products, including meat, eggs, milk (and it's derivatives like ghee, cheese), honey, etc.

Thanks.
