Adventure novel

Hello! A child in my life has a birthday coming up, and I would love to gift her a book to encourage her love of reading. She is turning 10 (in 4th grade), and I would say she reads at grade level or slightly above, and because she does have reading stamina I would prefer to gift her a chapter book rather than a graphic novel.

She has expressed liking adventure books, has a wild imagination, and does not at the moment really like princess or "girly" characters or storylines (not opening a discussion on whether or not girls can be both girly and brave, I am just communicating what resonates with this child rn.) So, I would like if the book had a brave/spunky female MC she could see herself in. Anyone have a suggestion for a book that fits the bill? :)

I'm seeking an artist to produce original art (agnostic to medium) for the cover of my soon-to-be-published novel. The novel is both a work of historical fiction and a retelling of the most foundational Indo-European myths in an adventure/drama. Thus I'm looking for an artist with facility in historical or fantastical styles.

Experience at cover art for trade paperback/hard cover novel preferred (6"x9"). The contract will be for the art only, no other design elements are necessary (ie. back design, interior, etc). The book will be published in trade paperback and ebook and potentially hardcover.

I have some idea of what I'm looking for and am happy to discuss individually, along with more details about the narrative and what ideas might suit. FWIW my favorite sci-fi/fantasy artists are Michael Whelan, Tim White, Simon Bisley and Donate Giancola.

I am looking for a total of 3 images: one will be used for cover, the others for marketing.

-The first image will be the cover image. It should be iconic, dichromatic and incorporate several mythological elements.

-The second image will include characters.

-The third image will depict a scene from the narrative.

My budget is between $500 - $1000 (USD) and will include a full assignment of rights in connection with the work as I will need to use them for commercial and marketing purposes. This work will be done on an independent contractor basis.

I am looking for an artist who can complete the work by mid-June. I anticipate writing more books in this series, and there is a possibility of follow-up work for marketing-related artwork

If interested please include a portfolio of potentially relevant images, or links thereto, as well as an estimate of how much time you would need to complete the work.

After months of research and writing I am very excited to publish this book, and I'm really looking forward to choosing an artist to bring it to life.

I am 25 year old male. I had cancer and a very bad year. Battling anxiety and depression and bad loneliness. Things don’t seem to peek my interest because of the depression.

I liked A man called Otto and some of Frederick Backman’s books, but I am hoping to find a book like Harry Potter, etc.

Looking for what you think is the classic literature adventure story that is the easiest to read and is a major pageturner. Preferably swords and travels and a good unexpected story. But mostly easy to read and a pageturner.

As the title says, I’m looking for adventure novels with a female protagonist. Not super picky, it can have romance or no romance, be historical or set in modern-day, etc. I’ve just been on a real adventure novel and movie kick lately, but most of the protagonists seem to be men. I was watching one of the Tomb Raider films over the weekend, and it got me to wondering.

He is no noble man, he is either from a simple family or maybe an orphan.

I'm attempting national novel writing month this year and my plot is a lovecraftian psychological thriller.

I devoured a ton of lovecrafts stories recently, but i think I need something longer to read while I write for the next month.

My fav lovecraft story is at the mountains of madness if that helps you choose.

(Also if anyone is interested in reading a reddit randos story when/as I write it, that would be pretty cool)

Im having so much trouble finding a James Bond/Indiana Jones/Zorro type historical adventure novel.

One male adventurer always in over his head on a globetrotting adventure with romance and close escapes.

Swashbuckling high adventure focusing on a male hero. But not all ship-based please. Sword fights, travels, romance, close calls, clever escapes and deceptions! Already read Hornblower, Aubrey-Maturin and Wilbur Smith.

Y'all...I can't. She takes pictures of EVERYTHING and records EVERYTHING but has no images of abuse that comport to her testimony. THEN she claims she gave the images to her lawyers and they aren't using them? Oh, and the police body cam footage is wrong too. But it happened. I swear. I have pictures. Oh, and #JusticeforJohnnyDepp has almost 1 million tweets, which should not be interpreted as pro-Johnny Depp, but rather negative Amber Heard tweets.

So I recently came back to KoboldAI using Skien 6B and I feel like the ai is better than ever. my adventures turn out really good and right now im playing as a failed knight turned demon. I sometimes need to edit the text but rarely cuz I use 3 prompts generated with one action. Anyway how are y'all stories currently going and what is your personal favorite.

I'm picturing an old colonel in the beige safari outfit exploring the world and daring hunts, or the young adventurer discovering ancient cities, fighting in wars, and just general adventuring, à la Flashman, during the British Empire.
