I did not frame it that way. If I recall correctly, I used the word 'element' to express severity, rather than a word like 'all'.

A weapon's being hard to use doesn't make it balanced or appropriate, but the crossbow isn't even hard to use, given how easily projectiles connect. In fact, the rapid projectile speed of its arrows renders the task staggeringly easy.

The crossbow eliminates elements of risk, dynamicness, excitement and fairness from gameplay as and against the Medic. Without the crossbow, a medic must make decisions whilst weighing potential benefits and risks, which makes it exhilarating to perform actions such as rescuing a teammate in trouble on the battlefield. The fact that the Medic must endanger himself by getting close to his target also ensures that the game is fair for all parties, as it means that Medic cannot affect combat situations without placing himself into them. With the crossbow, this is not the case, as he can turn the tide of battle from the other side of the map, against which nothing can be done. It transforms tide-turning heals from epic acts of heroism into presses of the 'Fire' button from a safe distance.
