I have ATT fiber installed and buried in my yard...had it since 2018. New neighbor just got Spectrum installed and they dropped a temp line across my property. It will intersect with my buried Fiber Line in a few places.
I am beyond concerned that when they bury his Spectrum cable they will cut my ATT Fiber line. I've called ATT and 811. ATT was no help and said they couldn"t do anything because my service was currently working great. I talked to the 811 guy that came out to mark the lines but he wasn't very helpful. Just said call ATT if it gets cut. I'm trying to avoid that as I work from home and Internet is a must.
What are my options? Just wait for the inevitable? Hope by some miracle they don't screw it up? Bury the neighbor's cable that goes across my yard as I know exactly where it intersects my ATT fiber? Do the contracted cable bury people actually bury the temp cable or do they install a brand new drop?
