What are some "Leeroy Jenkins" moments you can think of in 40k?

I was reading the awakening of Guilliman and I found really funny how, amidst the awestruck silence, a single Khorne Berserker seemingly thought "yeah, I can take him" and charged screaming at the Primarch just to be instantly cut down.

Gimme your craziest, hopeless charges you can think of!

Leeroy Jenkins isn't real??

I'm so conflicted by discovering this truth. I wanted to see if any other vanilla WoW players believed this untruth for so long like me.

It all started a few days ago when I said something about pulling a Leeroy Jenkins to my 12 yr old son. He didn't get the reference so I told him the story, that I still believed to be very real, and had him look up the video. The next day he tells me the whole thing was fake. He said it was set up by the guild in an attempt to recruit more members for their raids. A quick search is all it took for me to learn that he was right, the original video was a set up, but it's not as easy to find this specific reason behind the video. Can anyone confirm if this was in fact an attempt by the guild to recruit? If not can someone at least commiserate with me for believing this to be true only to have a Fortnite lover tell me different?

I've never felt so old as a gamer. It seems I have taught the kid all I have to teach. The student has officially beat the master.

TIL the Leeroy Jenkins video was scripted satire. "We didn’t think anyone would believe it was real" said the creator in 2017

If a player does a "Leeroy Jenkins" and runs into a bad situation are you obligated as a "team player" to help them?

If a player does a "Leeroy Jenkins" and runs into a bad situation are you obligated as a "team player" to help them?

Mostly all in title, but a little context. I was watching a dnd5e podcast where the first character death was a fighter running off into the next room because they saw an enemy. The enemy was a miniboss and immediately hit this fighter hard. So the rest run in to help the fighter before they have done anything to recover themselves from the last fight and it was the Rogue who died while the fighter gets to live.

This gave me a bitter but complicated feeling because I imagine I would do the same thing, but I know better than to throw myself thoughtlessly into a hard fight. I would do it anyways though because if I didn't and their character died I would feel responsible because this is a team game. The fighter made a mistake moving ahead of their team, should they die for that so other player characters are going to be safer? Or are we obligated in a team game to never leave a PC behind to save ourselves?

Would it be fair to be frustrated at the "Leeroy" if your character died to cover for their mistake?
