My boyfriend (28M) is mad at me (26F) for telling my parents I got a second job. For some background I am a long distance daughter, I am very close with my family and I would say we have a relatively healthy relationship. I moved with my boyfriend after we both graduated college and we have been dating for 10 years. I recently picked up a part-time job on top of my full-time corporate job. I picked up the second job just to get some extra income and save. Yesterday I had told my parents about my part-time job, as we were having a phone call conversation. Now my boyfriend is mad at me for telling them about the 2nd job. He says that I don't have to tell them everything and I am not a "child." But I don't see a reason to keep it a secret. When asked "what did you do today?" I'm just supposed to lie to my parents? I don't understand why I can't tell them. It's my life and I like to keep my family informed as we have a close relationship. Now he is mad at me and giving me the silent treatment. This isn't the first time he has acted this way. He likes to pick on me for having daily conversations with my mom and things like our family group chat and daily "good morning" texts. l am open to my parents about most things besides personal relationship issues. I keep those to myself. But he seems to have a problem with the kind of relationship I do have with my family. To me I have a normal healthy relationship with my family.
I'm annoyed that he is mad at me for something that I see no issue with. But I am questioning if he may be right...idk. I was upset yesterday because I felt like I was talking to a brick wall when I was expressing my feelings on the situation. I had told him that I would never change my relationship with my family for him or to make him feel better. I don't see a reason to distance myself from my family, just for him. Is the 2nd job something I should have kept to myself? Is he right in I don't need to tell them everything because I am older and haven't lived with them in almost 5 years?
UPDATE: it’s been since Sunday since we talked at all. We been ignoring eachother for days. Usually I am the one to give into the silence but this time I chose to stand my ground. But today I broke the silence by saying I am second guessing our relationship. I explained how I felt that we have different values(one being family) and that it does not sit well with me that he 1. Does not care about the situation at all 2. Try to settle and talk about it. All he had to say was if that how you feel you don’t have to stay in this relationship. Now I’m even more mad but seriously considering leaving this 10 year relationship. But I just can’t wrap my head around how he just does not give a fuck! Not wanting to talk, not wanting try. Nothing. Just easily tells me to go…is this worth ending a 10 year relationship? I don’t see how we can work this out, with him not giving in and standing in his own beliefs and views. Plus, not even wanting to apologize for his actions.

I really gotta agree with Bob, the cyber truck is ugly as hell, I don't think bob and I would agree on what vehicles look good or not because I like 4X4 Trucks and older muscle cars, but I will 100% agree that the Cyber truck is just garbage.

I know this may be triggering for some but hear me out. I 32 yo female, have notice that my sister, 29 yo female, has gained a ton of weight recently. She's always been a bit on the bigger side but never this big, she's close to 200lbs. She has embraced this. She posts on social media about how much she loves her body, she says things like " the bigger the better", posts pictures of her eating cake for dinner... and people praise her. But as usual, she leaves a lot of things out of social media. She has failed to mention that she recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and is now on medicine for that. She has obstructive sleep apnea now, and has to sleep with a fucking mask to BREATHE at night. I'm worried about her. I work in healthcare, cardiology to be exact, and I've seen how obesity can lead to early heart disease. When I confronted her about this she told me I was body shaming her and that she loves her body and I should too. I told her I don't love her body, that there is nothing positive about getting diagnosed with chronic illnesses that could have been avoided, and that she really needs to make her health a priority. Maybe I was too harsh, but I'm worried she's loving the social media attention and is failing to see how unhealthy she is. AITAH for telling her that being obese is not " body positive"?
Clarification- she is 4'11 and my mom just confirmed she's actually 212 lbs. so morbidly obese. She used to weight more like 150ish.
