There was a lot of talk around the ending of the ratfish that I got interested enough to actually look at the results.

Before I go into it, I love the show, I love the people, Rekha and Katie are both AMAZING and I'm fine with either one winning bc I love the way both of them played the game. My only gripe with this episode is that the players didn't get to meet the ratfish at the end but I'm guessing there was a scheduling conflict.

So here it comes for anyone who's as nerdy as me and is interested is unimportant shit... The SCORE BREAKDOWN:

First round: ice breaker

Rekha - 9,
Katie - 8 + advantage,
Game eliminates Zach

Second round: sleepover

Rekha - 6,
Katie - 8,
Ally advantage,
Game eliminates Grant,
The presence of the ratfish is revealed

Third round: tight 5

Rekha - 7 (including ratfish),
Katie - 5,
Ally advantage,
Rekha eliminates Brennan

Fourth round: flirting

Rekha - 7 (including ratfish),
Katie - 7 (including ratfish),
Advantage? (Unknown),
Ratfish eliminates Jess

Fifth round: holiday spirit

Rekha - 7 (including ratfish),
Katie - 7 (including ratfish) + advantage (favourite art),
Ally advantage (favourite character)

Total of points including ratfish: (with advantages not being counted as points)

Rekha - 36,
Katie - 35 (+ 2 advantages, 1 of which is favourite art and couldn't play into the game)

What I'm suspecting is that the advantage at the end was worth some points so that way Katie either tied or won. Otherwise what will the advantage give you? And since they were 1 point off not including advantages, and Katie won 2 advantages the production decided she won.

Edit: spelling + typo

Katie's Thousandaire gift was some of the best Dropout content this year

Katie's decision to not only put together a customized drag show for the episode's cast of friends but also create drag versions of everyone with mirrored drag performances over voice clips of the actors resulted in non-stop laughing for the entire 10 minute segment. And to not win?? She was robbed!

[REQUEST] What show only gets better with seasons?

I always hear this as a complaint for many shows.
"oh the show was really good for season 1 and 2 but really loses the plot from there" or
"season 1 was good but its downhill after that"

Aside from Breaking Bad and maybe Game of Thrones (albeit season 8) what shows actually get better as you progress through the seasons?

Umm actually… contestants don’t love any of these franchises?

I haven’t watch umm actually in ages (only saw YouTube episodes), but as a recent subscriber I figured I’d watch the latest episode. It’s horror themed but a few minutes in one of the guests quite sincerely says she’s never watched much horror and another guest concurs. What? Why have a theme and then bring on non fans?

Um, Actually needs to focus more on bringing on people with some amount of knowledge on the subject matter.

Um, Actually needs to focus more on bringing on people with some amount of knowledge on the subject matter.

I just can’t get into it when topics come up where every single contestant knows fuck all about the subject and are taking stabs in the dark.

Like the episode with actual fans of DND where DND questions are brought up is fucking riveting.

But when the closest anyone on the panel is is “Yeah I think I had a friend who was into that when I was a kid” just feels like they’re throwing a fantastic amount of effort into an actually abysmal payoff.

Like I felt like I was going crazy that the drag queen episodes took zero opportunities (that I remember) of topics that everyone knows a drag queen can correct anyone on. Fashion? I will believe anything and would love to watch them show their abilities. Makeup? Please tell me because I know they know what colors are and are not on specific palettes.

It detracts nothing from the integrity of the show if you mention broad subject matter. “These are the anime, the video games, the subject matter we will cover” seems perfect for the casting call. Because I am pretty sure 90% of contestants would prefer to be on a show where their specific knowledge is tested rather than using it as a carte blanche opportunity to meta-game and endlessly guess until you accidentally land at the right point.

TL;DR “Um, Actually, I think contestants for these shows should be picked/prepared for the subject matter at hand”

PS: This is by no means a dig at any producer or anyone involved with the production. It’s just a thing that has stuck out to me and would take this show from good to great IN MY OPINION.

What do I do when a viewer has become obsessed ?

I have been streaming constantly these past few days and have a new viewer in my chat. When our interactions started, there was nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. Recently, however, they have come into my chat and showered me with compliments that I respond with " thank you so much' or " you're too sweet" and asked to get on a video call with them ( which I'm not comfortable with). However, after ending my stream last night, they told me they love me and want to be my s/o. They have been spamming my Discord with messages asking me to call, which I don't reply to. What do I do? I'm a little uncomfortable with this and don't know where to go. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how have you handled it?

Appreciation post for Tidal links giving multiple platform options 😌

it saves me a little bit of precious time to not have to track down songs / albums on Spotify or YT if I wanna share stuff with my goofy friends. I don't get texts saying the link doesn't work or brow beating that I should use Spotify "like everyone else" any more.
