Hi… I’m Alan, and I’m a tech geek (and I’m proud of it too!). I love all things techy – whether it’s a new mobile phone, or the latest in visual technology… I’m there!

I know it sounds strange – but that’s just me! I love technology. Some guys love football, others love gambling – not me, I love technology!

I’ve created this blog to share my love about the great technological world and will talk to you about what’s hot and what’s not (in my opinion) in the technology world – and much more.

So, before we get into anything technological, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself first – we’re best getting this out of the way now, so I don’t have to bore you with it later!

Well, as you are aware, my name is Alan! I work as a self-employed tech support guru and have helped hundreds of people solve their technology problems online. I’m a self-proclaimed expert in a variety of programming languages (such as HTML, CSS, etc.) and I’m always on the look-out for fresh challenge – in fact, if you’ve got anything that needs a tech-guru’s attention, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help out..

One of my earliest (as a budding tech-geek) and most impressive achievements is building a network of computers by hand (25 in total) – all of which were programmed to control functions in a small home. I was able to program the computers to turn lights on at certain times, as well as turn off all electrical items, lock the doors and close the windows.

I know this isn’t that impressive, but I did this when I was 14 with very little experience – just to see if it was possible at the time – and from then on, I’ve been doing things like that in the real world.

Some of you may be thinking I’m a bit sad – and that’s understandable, but I do have a social life… honest! I’m happily married, I’ve got 3 children and I live a great, financially-secure life in a quiet leafy suburb outside of Chicago. I love watching baseball at the weekends and regularly participate in community events and help out at the church.

My aims for the future are pretty much revolved around what happens to me in the next few years! The ideal path for me to take would be to continue doing what I’m doing and making the living I am doing, but we all know this might not be possible – especially in today’s day and age!

So, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell! Welcome to my site, make yourself at home and enjoy the tech talk!
