Ron Rivett

Ron Rivett is an American entrepreneur. He is best known for being founder of Super 8 Motels and My Place hotels. By 1993, Super 8 had 1,000 locations worldwide. Super 8 grew to be the largest budget hotel chain in the world. In 2011, he founded My Place Economy Extended Stay.[1] By 2016, My Place had 28 locations nationwide.

Rivett graduated from Northern State University with a degree in business in 1963 and received an honorary “Doctorate of Humane Letters” from NSU in 1990.[2]
