Pausa pro café, pausa pra peidar, pausa pra comer biscoito, pausa pra encher garrafa, pausa pra pegar o elevador... Quem me dera trabalhar full home.

For experienced developers. This community should be specialized subreddit facilitating discussion amongst individuals who have gained some ground in the software engineering world. Any posts or comments that are made by inexperienced individuals (outside of the weekly Ask thread) should be reported. Anything not specifically related to development or career advice that is _specific_ to Experienced Developers belongs elsewhere. Try /r/work, /r/AskHR, /r/careerguidance, or /r/OfficePolitics.
The details aren’t clear yet, but basically immediate termination for prod issues that affects company’s revenue. For anyone who’s experienced this policy, I’m wondering what are the non-obvious consequences? Engineers dropping like flies? No one wants to do anything? We’ve had an engineer fired on the spot before, looks like CTO wants managers to take the fall now.
I’m less concerned about how toxic this is as I’m gonna start looking elsewhere anyway, just curious what I should expect in the meantime.
EDIT: Not a critical/life/safety/privacy prone industry, however very competitive
