Youtube's Modern society is doomed...

We saw a lot of comments containing edgy UTTP kids , evil scam robux bots and B******* Like beggars that invading across YT platform, all thanks to that Indian ceo who betrays the trust of removing what we love and adding what we hate, We miss the old YT that has nostalgic and good vibes, but today we have plagued with Elsagate, clickbait, scam, brainrot videos, making a horrible UI. Blocking adblocks, removing dislikes, Reports being ignored, Moderation Defended Toxic ones and punishing innocent ones, YouTube needs to address this.

How do you guys find new music? Every playlist is made for me and even when I try to create radio stations off artists or songs half of the songs I already have saved. Spotify falling off hard

I feel like Grant got unfairly screwed in Total Forgiveness
false

So I started watching Total Forgiveness because of how often it's mentioned on this sub - and I have to say I really feel bad for Grant. I just finished "Flea Market" and I don't think it or "Bell" were fair challenges at all, given the premise of the show. And I'm a little mad on Grant's behalf for the producers letting Ally get away with these challenges.

Other than these two challenges, no other has had a fail case, where the challenged player can just fail at doing the task - it's always either tap out or win. That's seemingly the premise of the show - not challenges someone can fail at, but having to go through bad experiences. If we're saying that the challengers can "fail" at a task, then Ally should have failed "National Anthem" - they didn't even get the words right. In comparison, "Scam" really had no fail case, other than Ally tapping out. Even the one challenge they did fail was easy to accomplish, and they just couldn't overcome their own internal limitations.

I know from spoilers that Ally does something big at the end to make up for Grant's tough time with the show, but for right now, I need to take a break from the show before I get too emotionally involved with it.

Playing Ratfish with your friends
false

I’ve been thinking Ratfish could be a VERY fun game to play with your friends, so I’ve quickly written up how I think it could work… do y’all think this would be a good way to play it, any suggestions or changes?

It would be played over Discord, through text channels. I think everyone would have to create a new account for this, since profile pictures would ruin it (unless you have Nitro I guess), or if you clicked on someone and spotted their username. One person would act as a game master (and server admin), while everyone else would take the role of the contestants.

From there I think it would be pretty simple! There’s a general chat, and the game master can send any DMs to players as needed. I know in Ratfish the option is given for players to have private chats with multiple people, not just 1-on-1, so perhaps when private chats open players could request for the GM to create a channel, with only the requested players having permission to see and send messages in it. I also think it would be fun to use Discord polls for players to vote for their favorite character after each round, rather than the GM choosing. People would also guess who they think every character is, as in Ratfish, although I imagine in this case you would know from the start who else is playing.

This seems like it would be a very fun game to play with friends, and I might try to write up some kind of guide for running the game over Discord! Perhaps once the finale has actually fully aired though, haha

(Also disclaimer I’ve never seen The Circle, so perhaps someone’s already written up something just like this for playing The Circle with friends…)

Grant Appreciation Post

Recently discovered the goldmine that is breaking news / no laugh newsroom. It was wild to me how they roasted Grant through two episodes with just true facts; and from what I can tell, there wasn't much embellishment. If anything, it was toned down lol. Which made the third installment of True Facts about Grant Anthony O'Brien such a curveball. It's the comedy improv equivalent of BDSM aftercare.

What really sticks out is the shift in Grant's energy the moment the compliments start rolling. Poor guy just looked defeated after seeing the prompts but practically started glowing the moment he realized what was up.

Taskmaster Episode

So it's almost inevitable that Game Changer will do a Taskmaster episode. I honestly think it'll be next season, since Sam met with Alex Horne not long ago.

While I would love for 5 Dropout cast members to be the contestants, what if they pulled in an actual Taskmaster contestant or winner to take one of the spots, if not to just be involved in some capacity.

I wouldn't have thought of them doing this until Ratfish, with them bringing in a non-Dropout person to actually compete, but now I think it could happen.

While everybody has TM alum they would love to see do this, including me, I think there's only one logical person: Mae Martin.

Mae already lives in LA, is the same age range as most of the Dropout cast, and they almost certainly all know or know of Mae. I also think Mae would fit in the best with the gang if they were to bring in a former contestant, with their similar humor.

I'll love whatever Game Changer does with TM, but I thought this could be an interesting loop-de-loop for them to add.

Smartypants - The True VIPs Are Behind The Scenes

The Dropout comedians are great of course, but shoutout to those people behind the scenes who only get a quick name crawl at the end. Watching this latest episode, for instance, two things really stand out - the set production and the editing.

I mean, the set truly is magnificent and encapsulates perfectly what a highfalutin society would look like as everything screams class.

And then there's the editing, which illicit laughs all by itself. During the first presentation, there is a moment where it cuts to Mike Trapp, and with just the way he is sitting and goes 'hmm' I busted out laughing at work and caused people to look at me. The editor(s) do a great job cutting in reactions.

My one main issue with the show Eric

It's a show set in the 80s

yet people are shocked a 9 year old walked to school without his parents. we are called the latchkey/forgotten generation because we all used to walk to and from school ourselves (maybe not all, but it was a common thing). The show is taking modern parenting expectations and pushing them on a time things weren't like that. They could easily have set the show in modern times and it would have had zero impact on the main story.
