Here is a list I've made with how long every major current late night talk show host has been on the air (not including past tenures):
Host | Date Began | # of days since began hosting (as of 5/21/24) |
---|---|---|
Jimmy Kimmel (Live!) | January 26, 2003 | 7786 |
Bill Maher (Real Time) | February 21, 2003 | 7760 |
Andy Cohen (Watch What Happens Live) | July 16, 2009 | 5423 |
Jimmy Fallon (Tonight Show) | February 17, 2014 | 3746 |
Seth Meyers (Late Night) | February 24, 2014 | 3740 |
John Oliver (Last Week Tonight) | April 27, 2014 | 3677 |
Stephen Colbert (Late Show) | September 8, 2015 | 3178 |
David Letterman (My Next Guest) | January 12, 2018 | 2321 |
Jon Stewart (Daily Show) | February 12, 2024 | 99 |
How long do you think they will last?
It's called where you can post content from Carson, Letterman, early days of Leno, and much more talk show interviews from the 60s to 1999

Not sure if it's David Letterman or Conan, but I remember a skit where they said, "You could go from this" (Show old lady sad) "To This" (Show old lady happy). Anyone else remember this, because I can't find any references on the internet.
Subject: for the life of me I can't remember, but there was a guest who always brought the same clip when he was on the show, which of course was not the movie he was promoting. Who was that? Thanks!
Does anyone recall this older gentleman late at night they'd call Doc? He'd sit around smoking cigarettes, discussing various new-age topics (probably Morton Downey Jr. era).
My mom used to watch him and I'm wracking my brain trying to remember...
Is it me or is Jimmy Kimmel really pressed to force Trump content on every show? Every other late night show has moved on from the Trump shit yet Kimmel still has a boner for it. I honestly think this is what made him popular enough to be a household name. The jokes are not even funny anymore
