I recently watched “The Dark and the Wicked” just from a random discussion thread about horror recommendations. To the movie’s credit the name is quite accurate, but I found it to be very soul-crushing and bleak.
This has made me realize I very much adhere to “The Cabin in the Woods”-style horror rules where characters have to “earn” their deaths, and if they don’t they should have a chance to “win”.
I’d love to hear from others about what movies they felt went “too far” to be enjoyable, and why.

At first it was a cool thing, but now it’s every other post and it doesn’t contribute anything to this sub. We get it! You love the main characters and that’s all that it says about you. You liking Damon, Katherine, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie or Enzo says nothing about your personality. It says that the actors did a fantastic job which is why they’re your top faves and why you like them. It’s the same for the posts where you’re asking what does it say about you if you hate these characters. It says nothing, it just means they’re not your cup of tea for whatever reason and that’s okay!

Idk what it is, but adult Lottie gives me the ick. I do not like the character. I know she suffers from a debilitating medical condition, but I can’t stand her. Maybe it’s the money thing, taking all of Travis’ money after he died is shady af, not to mention she instructs her followers to give her their money and phones as well.
Anyone else dislike her?

First off, Elijah Wood has always and will always creep me the eff out! This comes from (besides LOTR) the first time I watched him in something (not when he was a kid) it was from a stalker/murders POV and that was him. I can’t remember the movie title. Since then, those big blue eyes and always with that smirk! Agggghhhh! Yikes! BUT that proves that he is great as his job!
I’m actually wanting a better story line about Walter.
So I’m curious as to why some people may be upset with his return?
I have this feeling that he isn’t some multimillionaire due to a head injury and is quirky. Nah, he is like some meticulous genius person who probably always grew up with money and is a murderer as well. Or he like, finds people where he knows it will play out in murder and he was shotgun so hey convinces these people he is helping them. Idk if anyone has ever seen Would You Rather with Brittney Snow but I highly recommend it for a plot where the rich basically use the less fortunate as their own playthings.
If he is going to have a bigger storyline, I hope it’s this season, because I think that would just be enough of him and his story. And if he does have a bigger story line I’m think the ladies “all the ladies!” Are gonna devour him!
The only thing I hope is that Misty doesn’t fall for his crap.
What are your thoughts?
So, i don't really see a strong romantic pull between Louis and Armand. I understand why Louis chose him as a partner and a companion at this point in the story and i don't have a problem with the storyline, but... i just feel they lack romantic chemistry.. That being said, Armand is a complex and enigmatic character and i am more interested in seeing his story separately from Louis and possibly his years with Daniel.
