There is no (legal) way to play Alan Wake 2 on PC in New Zealand. On a totally unrelated note, Alan Wake 2 has yet to recoup its development costs.

The moment I stop trying too hard.

I once tried to be the "smartest person in the room.". By that, I mean, I was always giving 110%. Always trying to be the reliable guy who fixes all the issues. I know PowerShell a decent amount, so I automated a sh*t lot of systems and processes in the company. I also offered my help with any project I could. All my managers and coworkers were happy with me.

One day I learned that the new person who was transferred from a different department into IT and that I had to teach them almost everything from the beginning since they didn't have IT experience was making as much money as me.

I remember feeling like the biggest clown in the world. a complete sucker. It completely changed the way I look at my manager. The idea that they all knew about it just makes me angry. The worst part is that I got along very well with my manager, so I really felt betrayed. I just stopped trying. And guess what? no more stress.

It's ok to be good at your job, but don't be like me and make sure you get paid well for it. Managers will use you as much as they can get away with it.
