Triple shooting: Two dead, one injured at Floreat home

Two people are dead and one injured after a shooting in Perth’s western suburbs on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the home on Berkeley Crescent, Floreat, about 4.30pm after reports of shots being fired.

WAtoday understands the incident was domestic violence related.

“Police responded to reports of a firearm being discharged at a home in Floreat,” a police spokesperson said.

“Upon arrival it was confirmed two people were deceased. A third person has been conveyed to hospital.”

Police were still at the property after 7pm collecting evidence, and the road remained closed at both ends.

Multiple ambulance crews were also at the scene.

The crime scene is a few doors down from a church and close to Floreat Forum shopping centre.

“I heard tyres screeching, lots of sirens and then the occasional crack,” a Berkeley Crescent resident told Nine News.

“My mate lives just up the street, he said there was between eight and 15 shots.”

Police described the incident as being contained and said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
