Why I think it's weird asf that the devs are still trying to appeal to children.

Why I think it's weird asf that the devs are still trying to appeal to children.

I don't exactly know if the model will go back to how it originally used to be or if this site will stay kid friendly forever, But I'm gonna mention some stuff about why it makes zero sense for this product to stay of low-quality for the sake of appealing to children or whatever the actual reason is.

First of all, Children don't have credit cards. Even if a kid is lucky enough to have a credit card at a certain age or steals their parent's credit card(s) for whatever they want, Little kids can't purchase subscriptions, That's why I don't understand the devs wanting to profit off of children if an adult or teenager is able to get C.ai+ and make logical decisions.

And if this site is apparently for everyone and not exclusively children, There are still zero explanations for why there are no mature options in the settings for people 16-18+, It doesn't matter if it's "For investors" or "Keeping things in a good light", This site should at least be a treat for people old enough to know what they're doing, Not children 2-7 years old that shouldn't really become so interested in talking to AI chatbots in the first place. Sure, Some people seem to still like this product, But something should at least be done for the users that have been struggling with the low quality and the repetitiveness of bot responses for over a while now. I was also gonna add something about the idea of the fitler being repurposed to detect inappropriate stuff related to children, but changed my mind since that kind of fitler probably wouldn't understand context at all.

Edit: AI doesn't have to be inappropriate to not be okay for kids to use, It's still addictive either way if not used carefully. The reason why it's different if a teen or adult uses AI is because of 1. The ability to be more responsible. 2. Take breaks. 3. Still socialize with other people, The purpose of c.ai is so you can roleplay with CHARACTERS, There are other AI products out there that already do the job of being an assistant if the model is gonna actually become "Helper-ish", This site shouldn't become like one of them because I'm pretty sure no one wants "mafia husband" to teach them the answer(s) for their homework, Right?

PSA: If white collar workers lose their jobs, everyone loses their jobs.

If you think you're in a job that can't be replaced, trades, Healthcare, social work, education etc. think harder.

If, let's say, half the population loses their jobs, wtf do you think is going to happen to the economy? It's going to collapse.

Who do you think is going to pay you for your services when half the population has no money? Who is paying and contracting trades to building houses, apartment/office buildings, and facilties? Mostly white collar workers. Who is going to see therapists and paying doctors for anti depressants? White fucking collar workers.

So stop thinking "oh lucky me I'm safe". This is a large society issue. We all function together in symbiosis. It's not them vs us.

So what will happen when half of us lose our jobs? Well who the fuck knows.

And all you guys saying "oh well chatgpt sucks and is so dumb right now. It'll never replace us.". Keep in mind how fast technology grows. Saying chatgpt sucks now is like saying the internet sucked back in 1995. It'll grow exponentially fast.

Shut t down every now and then, like one a week, most having been like 2 weeks, but put it to sleep every day otherwise.

Will this harm my pc in any way, or is it designed to be able to remain in that state without a “refresh”?

Wife just bought me this for $1,300

CPU: Intel i7-14700F GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060ti 8gb MoBo: PRO B760-VC WiFi RAM: 32gb DDR5 Storage: 2tb M.2 NvME 650w power supply

I know I could have probably built it for cheaper, but it was a surprise and is going to be a HUGE upgrade from what I currently have/had. Everything is better. No more warning windows saying my hardware isn't supported and may cause the game to run poorly. I AM SO EXCITED!
