De'Anthony Melton
Contrary to what some people are saying he is a good shooter. He also can create and play make off the dribble. Not to mention he’s an elite defender. I think he’ll be great for us next year.
Here is a breakdown of what kind of player he is and what he can bring to the warriors.

Melton is heating up, but I’d rather see more consistent stocks from him versus the increase in scoring we’re seeing lately.
Is he worth a full-time roster spot based on recent performances? Or is it ok to drop and free up a streaming spot?
Hashtag Basketball has him ranked as a top-60 player ROS in 9-cat format. Will those of us that drop him end up filled with woe and regret?

Versatile defender that has basically mastered passing lane defense, averages 4 deflections a game, causes a lot of turnovers, great in transition and is a Career 37% from 3. Very good passer and can handle the ball, only 25 years old making 8million annually. He is an UFA this summer. He's the perfect player for this offense.
He is currently injured which might help negotiation over the summer and will be cheaper than Malik Monk who will be getting a 6MOY award coming off his best season.

Holy shit boys it's all coming together at the perfect time. The league is fucked. This is Joel's Hakeem/Dirk run.

Is this guy the real deal? Today he put up 5 3’s, 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block on 6/14 shooting in 26 minutes.
I’m not too familiar with the Grizzlies’ rotation and their past 2 games have been blowouts but if he can get ~20-25 min a game he seems like he could be a hold as a guard who gives you 2+ stocks a game.
Thoughts?

He dropped 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the final game. Congrats to the new sixer!

Still just 26 years old, Melton is one of the better defensive guards in the NBA. He averaged 1.6 steals per game for the Philadelphia 76ers last season while chipping in 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and shooting 36.0 percent from three.
The Sixers were 10.3 points per 100 possessions better with Melton in the game, which that ranked in the 93rd percentile leaguewide, per .
Golden State could use Melton as its starting shooting guard to take defensive pressure off of Stephen Curry or as its primary ball-handler off the bench.
Warriors fans probably hate this offseason so far, although this was a good signing as long as Melton's back problems are a thing of the past.
One thing to note about Melton is that he has a 6-8 wingspan, so while he's not tall (6-3), he's got length.
I'd still feel better if we injected more height into the roster, but he seems like a solid fit and can play D.

Sixers are looking incredible with DeAnthony Melton in the starting lineup. Lowe and Pelton were saying the Sixers should consider keeping Melton in the starting lineup and bring Maxey off the bench, even when Maxey is back and healthy.
It's an interesting conundrum. By impact metrics, Melton has been far better than Maxey for the past 2 years. But on the other hand, Maxey is the darling in Philly.
Who is better for the Sixers? Who is the better player in general? (Right now, not talking about future potential)
