I purchased a 2024 M3RWD on Wednesday. New purchases come with a 30 day trial of premium connectivity and FSD supervised. I had both of them by subscription on my 2019 TM3. For some reason the summons command isn't showing up on the Tesla app for the 2024. I've checked for upgrades and deleted and reloaded the app several times. Still no summons. I remember using summons during the 30 day trial back in June on my old TM3. Did they change something and not include summons on the 30 day trial now? I'm also not getting the upgraded colored map that comes with premium connectivity. Is anyone else having or had this problem? Any solutions? I have mobile service coming on Monday to install the garage link equipment. I'll ask him about it too.
So Speedy Glass just informed me that they want to drive the car for an hour after the windshield is installed on my Model 3. "For calibration reasons.
However, I got the windshield repaired last year at a different location and they just let it sit for an hour to let the glue cure and gave it back to me. Then I had the calibration notification for the first few bits of driving. Warning that autopilot wont work.
Does this seem correct to anyone? Driving for an hour is a little insane in my opinion.
Long story short was closing my trunk & now it won’t fully close. No notifications of it being open on screen but just scared of water leaking in. Any fixes I can do myself as the service date is more than a week away.
I ordered my Tesla model three long range all wheel drive a few days ago and because it’s a custom build it’s going to take a little longer for it to get here. In your experience or with your knowledge, how long is that process? I get very vague answers from Tesla themselves. Thank you!
I woke up to find I had received my VIN (yay!). Used it to get insurance (ugh!). My estimated delivery date is still between now and the end of the month. Could I realistically be waiting that long (I know it’s only next week, but still…)?
After a month of evaluating EV options and painful soul searching I decided to go with a used M3P as my first foray into electric commuting. My top contenders were the usual suspects (Model 3, Mach-e, ev6, etc). I found positives about virtually all of them, but in this insane market for used EVs I couldn't get over the fact that a 2022 Model 3 has significantly more years of production improvements under its belt as an electric model. Basically all the other options used would mean getting a year 1 or year 2 vehicle.
Anyway, since the best deal I found was actually from Tesla's website I'm curious if there's a solid list anywhere of what to check for on delivery day. It appears to be a different experience than the traditional dealership drive off. Any suggestions of what to check for or think about?

What do you all use to clean your touchscreen(s)?
Copy/paste directly from the owner's guide:
Front and Rear Touchscreens
Clean the touchscreen(s) using a soft lint-free cloth specifically designed to clean monitors and displays. Do not use cleaners (such as a glass cleaner) or alcohol-based gel products (such as hand sanitizer) and do not use a wet wipe or a dry statically-charged cloth (such as a recently washed microfiber). To wipe the front touchscreen without activating buttons and changing settings, you can enable Screen Clean Mode. Touch Controls > Display > Screen Clean Mode. The display darkens to make it easy to see dust and smudges. To exit Screen Clean Mode, press and hold HOLD TO EXIT.
I'm not exactly sure what type of cloth is meant by this. Is this just like any cleaning cloth for glasses? When I look online using Tesla's description, all the results are microfiber, which the manual says not to use.
I've never even been inside a Tesla before, but I'm interested in going electric so I'm looking at several cars around my area (Switzerland). But I have some doubts about what I should look for. The obvious thing is the battery, of course, but is it possible to see it approximate state quickly during a visit to check the car? Other things I should look? Thanks in advance.
Ordered on Saturday, woke up to an assignment this morning. It's like Christmas!
Hell of an upgrade from my 2019 SR.
Same color though :) Can't improve on that blue.
Is there anyone in the San Francisco or Los Angeles area willing to swap 19” Sport wheels for 18” aero wheels? I got my M3 2022 yesterday (only a few mikes on the wheels), and think I would prefer the aero look
Does anyone know how to select the foot vents? Prior to the software update you could select the foot/lower vents, but I don’t see it on this.
My husband ordered a new MP3 on Saturday & is anxiously waiting to receive his VIN Number & delivery date information. With the 1.99% interest rate they’re currently offering, I figure delivery times may be longer than usual.
Any idea what he should he expect?
Just got a BMS_a066 and seen a lot, if not all, people that get this message get a new battery replacement. Is that the case here? It only shows the coolant that I pay, but not the battery. Also it shows AWD when I have a RWD. I can DM a pic of the estimate if anyone knows
Has anyone else experienced low sounding noises from back wheels of M3 RWD 2022? It started about 3 weeks ago for me when placing the car in park. But also when driving slowly (probably more noticeable at low speeds with less noise) and sometimes going over bumps. Sounds like a squeak, nothing loud or banging. Not sure what to do or how to go about getting it looked into. Never made a service appt for Tesla yet. With an ICE I would bring it to my mechanic. Thanks
Hey all! So I just purchased another Kia Stinger in October (first one totaled due to hail storm and this used Scorpion package was a solid deal). However, with the Kia Blus challenges going on, insurance has gone up drastically and it’s a bit annoying that it seems to continue to go up so may change already
That brings me to the 1.99% deal currently going on with Tesla. Can get a brand new car and actually come out ahead on monthly costs after just 1 tank of gas
Can anyone help fill me in on monthly costs of these cars, tire rotation (can it be done), is AWD really needed in Texas or is that sunroof going to just bake the inside of my car in the heat? How’s the electric bill? Any extra I didn’t think of? Thanks for any extra insight!
I have a ton of accessories for my 2022 model 3. Any ideas which will fit my 2024? Curious about floor mats, organizer trays for both front consoles, led lights for the trunk, puddle lights, etc.
Thank you!
I have seen that no one else has been talking about this, so l decided to make a post. When I was recently testing my car's sentry mode, instead of showing the red eye icon with Sentry Activated and Recording, my car's normal parked Ul showed up. Has anyone else ran into this issue, know the reasons or know how to fix it?
I have a 2018 model three with 113,000 miles on it. High voltage battery died a couple weeks ago. The first quote I received from my local service center was for $11,000 using a refurbished mid range battery ($8500). I was obviously very upset when this happened and I canceled my initial service appointment to give myself the weekend to think about it. I didn’t realize this estimate would vanish and would have to start over when I went back three days later to see about getting the work done. We had to start over with the estimate and the new estimate came out to $15,000 using a refurbished long range battery that is software limited ($10,750). When I went into discuss the higher estimate, they said that the mid range battery they initially quoted me for was no longer being manufactured (which didn’t make sense to me since it was a refurbished battery) but that they would look into this and try to come up with some thing to help me out. Today I got my third estimate with the grand total of $22,000! This estimate seem to include an all-wheel-drive phase 1 battery (not sure what that means to be honest but cost of this battery $15,750). I don’t know, I feel like I’m being jerked around by service department with this latest estimate. Even after the second $15,000 quote the service guy basically told me that money would probably best be used towards a new vehicle. I still have seven months of payments left to pay this car off and not sure what I should do. Should I try a different service station? Should attempt to speak with a higher up in management? Just feeling super disappointed, not only with the battery dying, but how the price for trying to get it fixed keeps going up and up. Any feedback with any of this would be greatly appreciated.
I live in a condo and have two gates to pass through. Homelink handled this perfectly for years.
It now hides garages if it doesn’t think it’s near, which is an incredibly stupid feature to begin with. However, I’ve been dealing with the mildly infuriating task of digging into my pocket to hit the gate fob.
Now that I have a second car, I want to leave the gate fob in my other car(non Tesla), it’s a 90s car and doesn’t have the programmable garage buttons.
Is Homelink hiding garages a bug? How do I get it to display all?
Hi everyone, just a quick question about the Ultra-Wideband phone key now. I realised that while I was organising the frunk, my son went to open the passenger door but couldn't open it since it was apparently locked. I checked my tesla app and it said phone key was connected however, is this because of the new UWB technology providing a much more precise location and not unlocking the car, even if phone key is very close? I do not have driver side unlock enabled.
The USB will not be recognized by the system after sometime the Sentry mode is turned off. The only time it remains recognized is if sentry mode is kept ON all the time. I tried different types of USB and SSD drives and they all failed. This looks like an easy software fix but none of the last 5 updates solved the issue.
I've had it for a week and it's incredible.
Though my only complaint, and it's a big one, is with the damn turn signal buttons. I don't mind not having stalks but the damn buttons don't work half of the time, and I'm not hitting them in the wrong spot, they simply get stuck and you can't do anything except twiddle around with it until it gets unstuck and by then it's too late. I also especially hate it when I hit the button and the wrong turn signal comes on... I have no idea how this made it past QA but it's absolutely unacceptable and not safe at all!
Dropped my car at the service center with 30% assuming they would at the very most be done with it the next day. Well, it’s been five days holding my car at now it’s at 23% for the last two days. I’m a little worried that it’s been sitting with low battery for a few days. Has anyone left their car for that long with less than 30%?
