I mean, I knew who the major players were, watched all the weddings and read articles occasionally. I actually thought the monarchy did a lot for tourism in England and thought it should be preserved for that reason, if not for just the tradition.

I was even proud of them, especially the queen, for accepting Meghan. I thought, "Wow, they are really taking the monarchy into the 21st century. Good for them!" Due to colonialism, England had become a multi-cultural country, and an injection of a little bit of color could have been the best thing to happen to them.

I also understood that Meghan came from a complicated family situation and really hoped that her step-family did not ruin things for her. (I come from a similar family situation and am quite certain my steps would have first thought they discovered a gold mine, then done everything they could to ruin it when the expected pay day didn't materialize.)

When the complaints started coming out about Meghan being a bully to staff, being a bridzilla and "making Kate cry," I began to question the narrative. The stories seemed to be missing a lot of detail and just weren't making sense. I mean, who cries because the bride didn't want to do things your way at her wedding?

Over the years, watching the drama unfold, I began to see the foolishness that really seemed to escalate after the queen died. She may not have been perfect, but she obviously understood public opinion and how their very existence relied on it. It seems her son and grandson failed to learn that lesson from her. Once the queen was no longer holding the reins, it seemed to fall apart quickly. I have no admiration for the BRF now, and am joining the anti-monarchists in feeling like there is no reason for them to exist on the public dole anymore.

Sadly, for their children, I doubt that the monarchy will survive under Charles and William. And, they are doing it to themselves (although, they will likely blame H&M when it happens.)

Feeling slightly vulnerable and hoping this doesn’t come across as stupid or annoying…. But just in the off chance that Jeremy or Lisa or any others read this subreddit.

I just wanted to say, as a woman growing up with todays beauty standards, it’s been really refreshing seeing Lisa’s fresh and gorgeous face being untouched by any botox or fillers.

She is STUNNING!!!! Absolutely beautiful woman!

And Lisa, if you do read this sub Reddit. Just know I’ve cancelled my plans to get Botox, you have inspired me to age properly given that you look so perfect! And I’ll be investing that money in my own garden instead. Cheers 💕

Jeremy is obviously my user flair for the sub but, having rewatched the series a couple of times now, I have to say Charlie

He just comes across as the perfect mix between casual, laid back and fittingly humorous in the right moments for the sake of the show, and yet equally honest, straight-up and actually professional when it is most required

He also has a very odd, borderline unsettling aura of mystery about him, but I think it merely adds to his very character

What is an equivalent area of the USA to the Cotswolds or Oxford in terms of climate, agriculture, country life, etc?

I just looked at Diddly Squat farm shop on Google maps for the first time, and I'm sorry, but is that a Caravan campground just to the northwest of the farm shop?! How the hell does the council get off bitching about a car park when there is a literal caravan car park just adjacent to it? WTF!

That’s $21 in Nzd and you couldn’t get the meal from a cafe in New Zealand for that price nowadays. Especially if it’s a specialty item that only crops up when there’s a crop. They now sell it for 5.8 pounds which is $12 nzd and a steal.
