Despite its financial resources, ESPN has somehow managed to have the worst NBA coverage of any major network in the last 40 years.

They have the worst:

  1. Announcers;

  2. Color Analysts;

  3. Theme song;

  4. Haltime show;

  5. Halftime music;

Am I missing anything?

Literally every category is worse than anything from TNT, old NBA and CBS coverage of the 80s and 90s.

And to boot, they have the largest pocketbook of any these aforementioned media companies. How is this even possible?

What are some scrub to superstar stories in the NBA?

One example is Jermaine O’Neal. He was an end of the bench guy in his first four years on the Portland Trail Blazers. Then in his 5th year on the Pacers, he became a solid role player, and then was a star for them in the next 6 seasons after that. He even was 3rd in MVP voting one year.

What are some other players that went from end of the bench players to stars/superstars?

How good would Chris webber be in today's NBA?

His numbers don't jump off the page by modern NBA standards, although I firmly believe he would be putting up much higher point and assist averages in the modern league. His passing was excellent for a big man but he was never really asked to be the primary facilitator the way that Jokic or (at times) Sabonis is. I don't think he would be as good as Jokic (who is tbh) but I do think his floor would be a Domantas Sabonis-type and his playstyle feels like it was even a bit before its time in retrospect.

[Charania] The Phoenix Suns will conduct a workout with Bronny James ahead of the June NBA Draft, sources say. Phoenix has the 22nd pick and he is among several players in consideration. Bronny has over 10 workout invites but is expected to only visit a few teams, including Lakers and Suns.

After a whole offseason of no left hand comments, overpaid comments etc. Jaylen Brown leveled up his whole game during the offseason and the regular season and is now finally entering his prime. He has been a top 3 player during the playoffs and no one has been able to guard Jaylen Brown these entire playoffs. Jaylen Brown has hit the big shot against the pacers in game 1 to force OT and dropped 40 on them in game 2.
