The fight against fascism
A video tweeted by President Trump depicting his return to the White House on October 5, 2020 after being hospitalized with COVID-19 was clearly modeled after Hitler's arrival at the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in the Nazi film Triumph of the Will.
David North, the National Chairman of the Socialist Equality Party (US) and the Chairman of the International Editorial Board of the World Socialist Web Site, delivered these remarks at Wayne State University in Detroit, on April 11, 2019, during his introduction to Christoph Vandreier's lecture, “The Threat of Fascism and How to Fight It”.
In response to Trump's coup attempt of June 1, 2020, the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI) held a livestreamed discussion on the crisis of American democracy and the fight against fascism in the US.
In April 2019, Christoph Vandreier, the deputy national secretary of the Sozialistische Gleichheitspartei (SGP), the German section of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), spoke at meetings across the United States attended by hundreds of people.
This lecture focuses on the role of the SGP in exposing a conspiracy to rehabilitate Nazism in Germany, and the historical lessons that must be studied in order to build a mass working class movement to oppose fascism today.

Why Study the Russian Revolution?
The Russian Revolution of 1917 marked a new stage in world history. It proved that an alternative to capitalism was not a utopian dream, but a real possibility that could be achieved through the conscious political struggle of the working class.
The International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI) marked the centenary of the Russian Revolution in 2017 with an extensive series of lectures examining the significance and lessons of the revolution, and its impact around the world.
Tsar to Lenin
First released in 1937, Tsar to Lenin is the definitive documentary film of the Russian Revolution. It presents an extraordinary cinematic account—from the mass uprising which overthrew the centuries-old Tsarist regime in February 1917, to the Bolshevik-led insurrection eight months later that established the first socialist workers’ state, and the final victory in 1921 of the new Soviet regime over counter-revolutionary forces after a three-year-long civil war.

Trotsky
In the course of the 1930s, the counterrevolutionary bureaucracy in the Soviet Union headed by Joseph Stalin murdered virtually the entire leadership of the October Revolution.
In this 1938 speech, Trotsky addresses the founding of the Socialist Workers Party, the American section of the Fourth International, and speaks on the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Trotskyist movement in the United States, from the founding of the Communist League of America in 1928.
Security and the Fourth International
Launched in 1975, the Security and the Fourth International investigation was a significant milestone in the history of the Trotskyist movement. It marked the first time that Trotskyists fought to expose the infiltration of their movement by the Stalinist GPU and FBI.

The Security and the Fourth International investigation embodied the fight to maintain the historical continuity of Bolshevism and the legacy of the October Revolution against the betrayals of Stalinism and its allies.

International May Day - Workers of the world, unite!
Every year since 2014, the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), the worldwide Trotskyist movement, has marked May Day with an international online rally.
In 2020, the livestreamed rally featured speakers from the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Brazil, Costa Rica and Canada, and was watched by thousands around the world.
Interviews with David North
On October 8, 2018 North was interviewed on Radio Sri Lanka’s English-language “Coffee with Dan” program, hosted by Dr. Dan Malika Gunasekera. Gunasekera’s probing questions gave North the opportunity to discuss the crisis of global capitalism, the character of the Trump administration in the US, the significance of the economic rise of China, the danger of imperialist war, and the necessity for the many workers and young people becoming interested in socialism to study the history of the Fourth International.
North discussed the 80th anniversary of the Fourth International on “Rise and Shine,” Sri Lanka’s most popular English-language morning television show, on October 8, 2018. The two interviewers were Sharon Mascarenhas and Waruna Solanga Arachchi.
